Thanks guys! You were pretty close, Barefoot, I used the AoA metallized glass shader as a starting point;) Yes I think it's interesting, best part is the spots will change depending on posing and light angel=) Will have to see how it looks in a short animation:)
No, Saphire, no postwork except for some contrast adjustment, free indoor HDRI from HDRI Haven, a reflective light by Marshian and an AoA spotlight.
I think the reflective light is a nice compliment to the HDRI lighting, even if rendertimes are negatively affected.
The skin preset I made uses V4 Uv map, I'll develop it a little further adding some nice displacement maps and/or bumpmaps
Which HDRI is that one? I'm having trouble finding it? Looks like a very useful one..
I have a render going, so can't check right now. But it was a studio HDRI, not an indoor one, sorry. There are only 7 Studio HDRIs currently at HDRI Haven, they are all very useful indeed, pick them up!
ETA: I used it only for lighting, the actual setting is some freebie I picked up at some stage, could be by Stonemason?
..I empathise . Here in Portland OR we now have endured 26 days of 90+ temperatures with another 6 - 7 on the way.
This is supposed to be the "Pacific NorthWet" where if one lives here for long enough they develop webbing between their toes.
Slowly getting back to normal here in Finland, winter's coming...again. Yea it's been extremely hot over here too, but I kinda got used to it, sleeping all day and working at night.

...yes, for the dust cone under the lantern and the "aura" around the book. Thank you.
Ooooh.. Nice!
and thanks!
Thanks!
Good to be king? Until you end up like this...
...CROM!........that's great.
Thanks! Was fun making that.. cobwebs are dynamic sheets textured using a web alpha mask..
Baby needed a paint job
Haha, but he looks happy so I guess it was worth it!
testskin
A very quickly put together animation to test the alien skin, not working as expected, so need another approach :o)
Hope the link works, first time posting animation...hopefully not the last:)
Nice!

See? I don't believe in "the originality of thought". Everything has been said and done a million times before! LOL!
Late to the dForce party...a primitive plane + some shaderwork, so much to learn, so little time
Flip the image and you have a better one ????
There was a pretty bad halestorm a couple of days ago...
..did you use dForce on that?
