Some (not all) script products are written in a way that do not work with Daz Connect. If a product is installed with both Daz Connect and DIM, Daz Studio will always use the Daz Connect version.
@Allegra and @kamenko have error messages that contain references to Daz Connect. I recommend that you uninstall the product(s) with Daz Connect (from Smart Content). Then go to the Daz Connect "cloud" folder on the hard drive and delete any left over files in the subfolder for the SKU number of the products that you have uninstalled. The error message that you get tells you what the folder is. For example, Allegra has C:/Users/Shanina/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library/data/cloud/1_55317. Then install the product with DIM. NO NOT EVER perform an update or install those products from Daz Connect after that. That will just recreate the problem.
The ultimate solution would be for script writers to make their products compatible with Daz Connect, so this issue doesn't keep happening. Perhaps Daz can provide PAs with the information necessary to do that. I believe it is possible, because some script products work fine when installed with Daz Connect.
Thanks for the info.
My biggest problem is testing. Even if I wanted to use Daz Connect, it is not possible to use it for an unreleased product so there is no testing.

Yup, that is one of the pitfalls of Daz Connect for sure. I use Daz Connect, but it does have some downsides to offset its advantages.
I suspect some Daz Connect script problems come from assumptions about file pathnames. I think Daz (Rob in particular) should be able to advise PAs about script functions that can be used to properly build and resolve file paths, so that they work with Daz Connect. But, since I am neither a PA, nor an accomplished script writer, I don't know for sure whether my assumptions are valid. I do know that many PA script products I own, work fine with Daz Connect, including some of yours, so it is not simply that scripts don't work.
You know I love your scripts and use them all the time. I hope you can figure out and resolve the Daz Connect incompatibility with some of them. If you do, even if you choose not to update old products, it would be nice for the new ones coming down the pike.
Thank you a lot @barbult and @RiverSoftArt, I've managed to use the "G3M to G8M Clothing Converter" installing it manually. Now I guess I'll just add the metadata, and until the next formattation of my OS I'll have it there.
So, I think barbult is right, and there's something about the "mapped directory" or something like that. DIM doesn't work either deleting the cloud folder: it always answers "File doesn't exist", and there are no other error in the log.
I think this happens to me because I've changed the Daz default folder. I've never had this problem with any other product, incuding the other RSSY ones, so maybe there's something different in its code! I've never had a problem with:
G3F to G8F Hair Converter
G2F to G8F Clothing Converter
G3F to G8F Clothing Converter.
Keep up the great work, I'm sure you'll manage to avoid this problem the next time! :D

I am glad you got it working! But it is strange. All the converters do the same basic thing so they obviously work with Daz Connect. I think it must be multiple versions on disc. The scripts write info to their data directory. Perhaps Daz Connect allows that when it is the same directory as the product but if there are multiple versions, the script is trying to write to another "product" directory? Very strange.

No, I was thinking that somehow the *same* converter was installed twice or something like that.

I don't think so, I've had this problem since the first install, and then I've also tried deleting every related folder! ^^
Maybe it has something to do with the default folders, that I've changed! Maybe the script automatically looks for the files in the default folders?

I don't know. There are so many ways that things can be configured on a system, and that Daz will react to that configuration, that it can be hard to figure things out sometimes Well, I am glad you got it working.
It was a recent Connect update to this product that broke it. Mine was working just fine not that long ago, went to use it last night after an update a few days ago, and I'm getting the same error as above.
Need to open a ticket and get them to look at the latest Connect package, because there is something wrong with it. Latest DIM package seems to work fine.

Question, when the foot pose script pops up to adjust the foot if needed, if it’s fine you’re suppose to click cancel, sadly I always forgot till I’m halfway through after hitting accept even when I don’t make changes, would it be best to redo the footware

It will be fine. By default, the foot poser doesn't change anything so it is like cancel.
The chaps and boots threw up the Autofit dialog with an "unsupported" figure selected. I clicked "cancel" and everything seemed to proceed normally after that, and they did convert and work, but it was a strange thing to happen.

You could try again with just those items. It could be a previous item got the script in a state it shouldn't.
I purchased the converter for genesis 8 male. The products are installed not on documents> DAZ3D> Studio ... they are on Macintosch HD and I do not know how to select it. In the documents folder> DAZ3D> Studio> My Librery I have nothing of the installed products. How can I do?

The converter would not be installed in My Library. That is where you are going to tell the script to save the converted clothes. Start Daz Studio. Go to the Content Library tab. Look for it in My Daz 3D Library->Scripts->RiverSoft Art->Clothing Converter
Oddly enough, almost everything transported over with little to no issue, except for this one particular vendors (from Rendo) stuff. It ports over but when I go to fit it, it comes up boxes.

We wish we knew. Occassionally you can have that issue and we do not know why (the boxes thing can happen on non-converted clothes too). Sometimes you can fix it by reconverting it.
Hi :D
I hope this will be helpful to you, to find out what the problem is!
I have 9 of your converters (from V4/M4/G1/G2/G3 to G8F/M and the hair one from G3F to G8F).
Each one of them works fine with Daz Connect, EXCEPT the clothing ones from G3F/M! They install, but there's no actual file there (not even a thumbnail), and it gives that error from months ago if you try to open them.
Both of them work if I download the offline package.

@TGFan4, I started trying to looking into the difference. I am not seeing obvious differences in the code (beyond they target different figures and no conformers in the G3->G8). Do you have trouble with the G8->G3 conversions in Daz Connect?
Also, I started thinking it might be how Daz packaged the files. I don't see anything there, but maybe something they do with the Daz Connect on their end. What exactly do you mean "They install, but there's no actual file there (not even a thumbnail)?" Are ALL files missing? Some files? How do you open it when there are no files?

It converts successfully for me. However, the Fit to Neck does not convert as it says it is a prop.
