    @ps1borg: Yes it does ^_^;
I had to tilt the head actually since straight on only the lower neck was visible XD
    .
I actually like this a bit better :3
I think I should turn the eye to the side a bit too~
    .
    .
    .
Hmm bit of a complaint: Indigo for some reason is rendering the image very desaturated. Can't figure what I did to make it do that D:
Thankfully I can still render it within Cinema XD

Have a look at the shading model preset perhaps? *wild guess* :)

    No clue D:

I know it was something I did though... But I can't tell if it was something I did in Cinema before exporting it, or if it was something in Indigo DX

Interesting that Cinema can render Indigo's materials. Sure, it won't render any speculars or bump, but it renders the textures. Heh. Cinema won't render Maxwell or Vray materials :3
    .
    .
Hm... In the viewport, Maxwell and Indigo materials are pure white, so when applying a new bitmap material to an object, I have to do so with a native C4D material first to make sure it tiles properly before applying the MX/Indigo material to it. Vray materials show up just fine though~
(They render okay, it's just they're white in the viewport ^^; )

Once again I rendered out an ambient occlusion layer from Cinema's native render to use.

Ha! :I found a decent seafood restaurant in Austin, it's an hour bus ride but it's closer than San Antonio (lol) - Joe's Crab Shack!

I'll be going for a bucket of steamed seafood next week, during vacation! W00t!

Have you tried Quality Seafood @ Koenig & Airport? In addition to being a market, they have a restaurant and live music.

    ...Sunday! Sunday! Sundaaaaay!!!!!

64 bits of raw processing power topping 2.8 gHz!!!!

Twelve Gigs of High Speed Triple Channel RAM!!!!

Over one Terabyte of storage on dual HDDs at a blistering 7200 RPM!!!!

With enough cooling power to keep a 6 pack of your favorite beer ice cold!!!!

All ready to render the biggest baddest scenes ever imagined!!!!

So Bring the Vickies, Bring the Mikes, Bring the Transmaps, Bring the IBLs For the Big Rig™ is here and it's ready to take whatever can be thrown up against it!

Only at the Double K Renderway five miles east of Phlogiston Flats

    Be There, or Be πr²

    (sorry, couldn't resist) :cheese:

...yep, finally after months of frustration and multiple support tickets submitted, saw that the last component for completing the workstation build arrived when I got home yesterday. Sometimes complaining is a good thing, especially when you mix a few positive comments in with it.

Today the optical drive goes in, then a few tests some formatting and will be ready to load the OS. As i purchased Win 7 back when I got a good deal on it I imagine there are a number of SPs I;'ll need to DL & Install. Same for my Security Suite (which is first on the list before I go to the MS site as I have to do so in IE (who's security I trust as much as a used car salesman) instead of FF. Fortunatly there is a grase period with MS to get all this other stuff done before registering the OS online. I checked with my ISP and yes I can load the Wireless modem utility on the workstation (for this purpose) as well without having to change my plan.

Finally, in a couple weeks, as I am performing clean installs of everything and building custom runtimes from the the ground up, I will be freed from the 2GB RAM ceiling. I'll be having to recreate the scenes I've been owrking on which is why I am leaving S3A up on the notebook to get all the positions & such\. Unfortunately this means creating my characters from the ground up again as The runtimes will be on a different HD than the applications so If I tired to just copy the scenes over they won't open properly because all the content targets will have changed. Thank heavens for Steph4 as she makes recreating Leela so much easier. Again, I can refer to the version of her that i have on the notebook for morph settings so it won't require a lot of dial tweaking, juts inputting the morph values.

I can also finally see just how well Steph4 and Genesis work together as well. However, my work with 4.5 will mainly be relegated to experimentation as many of the plugins I like to use have not yet been updated for it.

With Carrara8Pro i will have a lot of excellent scene generation tools. It's too bad they never fixed the Daz scene import as posing figures and setting up lights in Studio is a lot simpler. I guess I should DL the latest update of Carrara8 to get the weight mapping, however I'm reluctant to deal with the CMS there too. I want my Carrara to still look and handle like Carrara. At least for Studio4/4.5 the Darkside option makes it look and behave a lot more like the original.

...and I can finally dust off and play with Reality/Lux,to see just what I can do with it (though I have a boatload of texture updates to DL and install).

With more RAM I'll also be able to create and drape clothing in Marvelous Designer as well as PP 2012 without fear of memory limitations crashing the process, so finally I can get the clothing styles and fits I want for my characters.

Then there's the Cycles render engine in Blender which I will finally be able to put to the test.

...and maybe, even maybe Hexagon will behave a little better.

I just wish they could update Bryce to 64 bit.

,..geez, so many tools in the toolbox at my disposal now

...thank you. Man I'll have to do an IV drip of Red Bull so I can make it through the workday because of all the late evenings I'll be spending playing around and getting back into what I love again.

going to head over to my favourite little brewpub in a bit where they have 10$ pitcher Sunday so I'll hoist one back to you.

....I feel the need, the need, for rendering speed!!!!!

Mm... No more clicking on YouTube links for me. New rule. I've stopped browsing FA and DA, now I'm refraining from clicking on youtube links.

    .
Yeah, that's gonna last a long time. *rolls eyes*
But the last one sort of cemented that in place for me.

Also, would make a good avy?

    Eheh thanks ^_^;
I wish I could make more intricate scenes, but for now I'm content with these simple shots like this :3
    .
    .
"*hugs* I like the red avi but yes I guess"
The last three youtube links I clicked on in the past five days were either random garbage (Like the two hour nyan cat thing) or were very offensive to me (The dragon arena video, as well as one that contained a LOT of swearwords but nothing of interest( A Family Guy voice over essentially.).), and two that were sort of interesting. So... Yeah. I don't plan on clicking any more links unless I know full well what I'm going to be seeing. The "There ish a dragon in this video" should have been a Red Flag, but I was intrigued by your comment on it ps1borg and curiousity got the best of me.
    .
    .
    Was just asking :3
I don't really plan on changing this one anytime soon, but I've been looking over renders and drawings of mine and searching for parts that would make a good avy for whenever XD
    .
    .
*edit* To clarify, the second video I didn't like was an FMA clip with Family Guy voices instead. The person who linked it to me was like "Oh you like FMA? THen you'd *love* this" .
    Yeah right >_>

It works beautifully, and often I've discovered the simple scenes are often the most creative, its all about the angles, framing, pose and character. And cause lighting. If you master it without a set or background then the intricate stuff eventually becomes fluid! :cheese:

That is totally not simple looking! That is SWEET! Love the composition! Great lighting too... See you a natural!

    Huzzawha?

"That is totally not simple looking! That is SWEET! Love the composition! Great lighting too… See you a natural!"
Composition? Possibly~ I really liked the camera angle, and was the third one I found. I actually found this one by accident and had to repose the neck to fit it in the frame. Well it fit in before, but it was terribly distorted by the camera settings.
    .
Modeling? Nope. The "velociraptor" was a model that was too cute to pass up, which apparently is no longer being sold (It's no longer showing up in the searches on the store I found it at.), and the building itself was downloaded from the CG Lighting Challenge thread(s).
    .
Lighting and Materials? Dunno. There was only one light in the scene - a Directional/Infinite Light. As for the materials, they're all either Diffuse or Phong materials using bitmaps from 3DTotal's "Aged and Stressed" DvD. I just plugged them in and hit render.
