So far this Christmas sale is going well for me. No, it's not as astounding as the PA sale, but there's still a good chance the deals will get even better. My freebie today was a Mousso character, which was a great way to start the day.

I agree with the sentiment that things are too pricey. I already made my decision to throw the towel in once my Daz+ expires (I can't afford a tenner a month on Daz, that's pretty much what my phone bill costs!), but I do want to keep using my coupons til it expires. And this advent has been good to me. Unfortunately, I am all spent out after buying way too many things this month to keep up with the punch card, so I'm just coasting along and hoping that the advent calenders 2.99 option is better than the free one, because everything in the store is tooooo expensive and I don't really even want anything else anyway. The calender has worked exactly as expected for me at least, everything has been off my wishlist. What I will say is the daily freebies (with the discount on the PA store) has helped me keep my punch card up - I found some wonderful things by wonderful PAs who I'd never heard of before!
But, that's just my 2 cents. I am glad the advent calender is back to normal (at least for me, I know a lot of people are having issues with it). I am already planning lots of art to make :D
Might work for some people, but after years spent here, the last thing(s) I would need are more characters. Or textures for clothes products that that I don't have (and don't want/need). I rather take some more plant products, as I'm used to get them all the time from the time when I still was DAZ+
But some people here seem to be struggling to get anything decent, and so getting a few great-looking characters for free would be a step up from rando texture packs. ;)
Today the price of the freebie offered to me prior to get any discount is $21.95, whereas the $2.99 product's normal price is $16.95. I mean, I'm far from complaining, but if at least the more expensive product was the one not being offered for free, it would make a little more sense. XD
Not sure if I remember correctly, The punch discount is not applicable to LIGHTNING DEALS these days, I remember it was possible a few days ago.
Waiting for LIGHTNING DEALS is less fun, Fortunately Holidaz Deal applies to punching discounts.
I'm happy with the free gifts so far, the wish list has almost two thousand items, maybe that's why the gifts are good.
From what I've read in mod posts, the punch discount is already factored into the price for the lightning deals.
This matches my experience; once my punch card was full, my lightning deals were definitely coming in cheaper.

...hmm, so The Tin Can wasn't "deactivated".. Classic old Stonemason set. Along with the 2.99 USD calendar item (Tactical Props) the total bill came to 11.38..... Interesting.

My last paid order was on 12-04. Today, 12-09, was the first day I wasn't offered a freebie. So, in this case, "recently" means four days.
Good to know, because I forgot to check out yesterday, and I lost all the punches which means I'm now much less inclined to buy daily now, especially that I wasn't really using them that much anyway. And without punches, any extra discounts are unlikely to be attractive too.

60 items is not enough. I got a mix of random items and wishlist items with 70 DO's on my wishlist. I started getting only wishlist items when I about doubled that number. DAZ+ items likely don't count.
First days was working fine. But it went downhill. I'm currently adding more stuff that is not that i need/want but i would't mind be free over ancient items i have no use for.
I can't complain; my $2.99 item (Kelly HD For G9) went from $2.99 to $1.79 in my cart. So far every day the Freebie or the paid item was useful, sometimes it's been tough to choose between them. I have about 20 items on my wishlist, most are under $25 and just a few of them are DO so I don't think my WL is playing a factor in what I'm being offered. The sale is fun for me so far.

...same here getting legacy content (like for Gen4 to G2) or textures for clothing I don't own for the free items, similar to what I get for LDs.
The items from my WL tend to be the 2.99 ones which at the very least is nice to keep the my punch total going.
As I am not interested in G9 "human" characters, not much incentive to purchase Debut Releases to unlock better discounts and deals. Also not sure about being able to manually fit G9 hair content to G8.as I read somewhere that some G9 hairs don't work very well even using that method.
That coupon created some amazing prices. Alas I got stuck in a meeting until 15 minutes past Daz Day and poofed the coupon, freebies, punchcards, 2x token monday, and a full pending cart. Brutal. XD
My GC is being eaten up quickly, Yesterday was Lilflame and today is Swtrium, Now I don’t have the confidence to complete each day’s punch card.
That's what I'm getting, except today's free option is expressions I don't really need & wishlisted Daz Crow for $2.99. Yesterday I got https://www.daz3d.com/twists-bun-for-genesis-9 for $3, which I had in WL because I thought G9 hairs would work on earlier generations. I will test it out today and return it if it's one that won't fit well to G3 or G8. What is Daz going to do - take away those punches I don't care about? Yes, at this point I'd rather get back the $3 store credit than play Daz Marketing's reindeer games.
