...the PA sale was fantastic,.I cleared a number of items off the wishlist that wre beginning to gather digital dust, including several Stonemason setsl  The anniversary , mm....not so much, even though I could use a Daz+ item to unlock discounts (maybe that's one "perk" they can give to Daz+ members for the extra membership cost).. Bought very little so far and still have yet to use  both my Daz+ coupons with about a week and a half to go.

Disappointed that Tokens are invalid for the actual Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales (fortunately I only have 4 instead of a mountain of them to use up), though 22% off is helpful, that is provided I can find even a halfway decent deal to use them on.

Where are tokens excluded? I don't see anything about that on the promo page.

  • I've noticed an oddity. G9 character MSO Dola (https://www.daz3d.com/mso-dola-hd-for-genesis-9) was originally sold as a Mousso character, but even though the character has 'MSO' in the character name, she no longer appears in Mousso's shop, just as a DO character. Seems a bit odd to me. There are quite a few DO characters that still appear jointly under the PA's shop and DO shop too. It's odd, especially when the character name includes 'MSO'.

    Regards,

    Richard

...another "Premier exclusive" offer today, with not even a lesser offer for D+.

    Yup. It's a trend.

I mean lets face it... you knew it was going to happen. They wont outright delete Plus, but all the value will go to Premier and then new one when that is replaced.

Creating and pushing new memebership tiers has been all the rage in recent Tech Corpo strategies. Amazon did it, Uber did it, even food deliveriy apps are now doing it.

Some offers from today's sale don't stack with other discounts, maybe that's what they meant?

Ah, the fixed price items - yes, I see.

If I remember correctly the Black Friday deals were never that great here. They always had great sales BEFORE Black Friday (I guess so we'd spend all our money before all the other competing sales lol,) but then come back with great Christmas sales. ON1, Filter Forge and Topaz ARE having great sales now so this is great for those who do a lot of postwork or other digital art. I'm waiting till Christmas sales for Daz unless some amazing deals pop up that include Daz+. I really hope they start letting us buy some of the Premiere shapes though like Aiko 9 and some toon shapes that were originally in pro bundles if you purchased on launch. That would be a great Christmas "present" even though I'm willing to pay for it.

...I just want one sale that's decent enough to use my coupons on.

I used mine right away in Sept, but October was a miss and this one's still languishing. It's a sorry state of affairs when I  haven't been able to put together $18 worth of stuff that was a good enough deal even with the coupon added to be worth purchasing.

I haven't used my coupons yet either, which is probably a record for this late in the month. In fairness, that's partly because of sales with coupons earlier in the month, but i haven't bought much in recent weeks. I've wishlisted some things I really do want, but am still waiting for the right stacking discount/gotta-have new stuff combo to trigger a big buy day.

Same here. It's rare that I have one coupon left, let alone two that far into the month. And yes, I'd love some deals to be able to use them on, but now Daz seems to be putting most of promotions behind another coupon code.

As SilverGirl said, I just wish for a coupon-free offer that is good enough to use them on.

I know what filter forge is, but what is ON1 and topaz? Thanks.

Quite possibly a mistake, as has happened a couple of times recently - we will ask.

  • I decided to ignore the Early Black Friday sale. Don't have time or inclination to look through for WL items several times/day & prefer to save my money.

They really need to sort out a way to properly exclude 'texture' packs, it's crazy now when you try and sort from cheapest you have to wade through a million things that are textures for items you don't have

I want to just see the 'actual' product item itself

I don't mean to pick on the PAs who make the texture packs, but I have to agree it would really help to be able to filter them out. One reason is that it's not always apparent when browsing the sales listings that these are textures only. Often it requires clicking on the item, and in some cases reading the description to determine the listing is for textures only.  It won't keep me from shopping, but it is annoying.

Thanks, because it's holding me back from buying it (I actually have some similar items, but if I buy some new items to get rebates in today's promos, this would be one of them).

On1 and Topaz are AI-enhanced photo processing programs. Topaz also has a separate video editing program.

I heard of gigapixel but did not realize Topaz was the company that made it. Do you have by chance any experience with ON1 or the Topaz suite? Do you go with one or the other, or is there a benefit of having both sets of software? Looking for some more tools to make my daz creations fancier while waiting for another Daz sale. Lol

Balck Friday was nice to me. Got one product off my wishlist and 8 other products (7 of them Zeddicus' pose sets) for < $ 15.- which beats any sale I saw this year... So, for once, thanks DAZ for a nice sale wink

i haven't used either recently. On 1 seems a lot more interested in replacing backgrounds and such - I have an older version and get the emails. The topaz product seems more interested in improving what you shot - noise removal, improves focus clarity etc. both could be useful for 3D artists. For processing t actual photos, I'd give topaz a try. For exercising creative license, I'd probably pick on 1.
