After reading the posts for https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-louis-hair-for-genesis-9 by AprilYSH and https://www.daz3d.com/touchable-louis by Wolfie both seem to be DAZ products, not Rendo imports. So the texture add-on should have metadata. I did look at it this morning and yes, it didn't list the Required Product then, but it does now.

Could this be a case of the new PAs not being aware of the location for the required product for DAZ on the submission form? I know that on Rendo I often found the Required Product listed, even if it was a DAZ released product

I also found listed products used in the promos, which I welcomed. It would be nice if DAZ would do that again here as a rule, instead of offering products that have no relation by type, era, style, or apparent interest for the user instead, especially lower SKU ones.

And yeah, I miss the finding the deals I did in my previous years. But I have bought so much stuff from Generation 3 & 4 and from G1 to G8.1 that it is hard for me to find anything I haven't turned down or have no use for. And my library, only partially installed needs an 18TB external backup drive now. Including freebies, and two other stores' items.

I am glad I bought my Pro Bundles when I could.

  • I've checked this thread, the reporting thread, & the +/Premier forum. Still nothing official from Daz about the sudden bundle changes. Not to mention, less than a month into Premier Tier and Daz is messing around with one of the perks.

"Touchable Louis" is actually a color expansion for dForce Louis Hair, and to me, it is frustrating that you have to click on the product to find out what it is.

All the "Touchable" products are texture expansions for hair, just like for example "VERSUS" and "InStyle" products are textures add-ons for clothes.

I agree that having a mention in the product name or some tag to mark them as add-ons would be useful though.

Those are naming conventions they used at the other store, right? If so, thus the problem. Don't really care about how it was done at the other store, care for how it is done typically here for simplicity purposes.

I must say, I hadn't figured I'd see better prices on DO and D+ stuff during the PA sale than during the actual Daz Anniversary sale.

Ten days left (plus whatever extensions they decide to drop on us to prolong the agony), maybe they'll prove me wrong.

Really looking forward to when they ditch the giant Premier advertisement you have to scroll eight miles through to get to the actual products...

I picked up a bunch of daz+ items for between 38 cents and 74 cents which were about a year old. I thought that was a pretty good deal.
How did you achieve those prices? Everything I look at with the new pricing model costs me more than before.
Buying the daze+ debut new release, being premier, using 8 tokens, buying the roughly $2 qualifying item that gave an extra 20% featured artist stores, and $10 off $25 or more coupon.

Nice two punches combo by Daz: making bundles inactives the day before a wishlist sale.

Is it possible to get a page with all the new characters and addon bundles, to make it easier to fix our wishlist ?

UGH. Filtering addons and textures might not be possible, but at least they were clearly marked in their name. Now it seems that Daz is allowing items to not be clearly marked. "Touchable Louis" is actually a color expansion for dForce Louis Hair, and to me, it is frustrating that you have to click on the product to find out what it is. When the new PAs came, the argument for the mess was "too many products at the time to fix descriptions, readme's and everything else". I was already inclined to not buy the migrating PAs products because of that, and to see some didn't bother to match the standards of the store even after the migration... Sadly, the list of the PAs that are on my "will not buy" list is growing, but I'm also disappointed that Daz isn't trying to enforce its own naming standards. The more they don't, the more the shop will become a chaotic mess.

.....maybe they need a seperate icon for textures ike a "T"

I noticed the lack (or serious reduction) of flash sales during  previous themed months, too... I guess they figure they're already giving us (supposedly) amazing deals and don't need them. With the 30/30 deal last month that made sense, but this sale could seriously use a couple. (Of course, the flash sales don't often do anything for me either... but it's a bit of excitement to see something different come up.)

Overall this has been an underwhelming sale lately.  I'm no longer anticipating a themed bundle this week.

...I remember when this was one of the best sales of the year as it had several special deals for Platinum/Daz+ members..  Daz+ for a Day had far nicer selections there were the special Daz+ Annual Bundles, the BYOB sale and ot her special deals that would appear.   Now it's pretty much just another "Daz sale" that allows New Daz+ items to unlock extra savings and deals and a silently better discount on new releases for Daz+ members  (the latter which we also received in the precious PA sale)

The only Orange Banners I've seen have been the ones about the new subscriptions and the "Personalised Offer" one  ..

Though looks like they are doing a wishlist sale today (Wednesday)

Unfortunately whenever they have one of these most items on my wishlist are full price so 20% isn't enough of an incentive.

Glad to see OOT release a g8 / card hair; hope it's going to be that way for future releases. To me it looks a million times better than the stand one.

I agree with Kyoto Kid. This used to be a far better sale!

  • If this sale is how the 25th anniversary is being celebrated, I don't hold much hope for the upcoming, traditionally great, sales being any different. Sad times. I know the strategy is to push us to Premier for better deals, but I will NEVER pay monthly for a Daz membership. I can only hope I manage to buy my priority wishlist items at a reasonable price before my current Daz+ expires in a few months.

Me: "Oh hey! 20% off wishlist items!"

Me: (checks my priority wishlist items. Every single one of them is full price.)

It seems the days of a wishlist discount plus potentially-excellent stacking opportunities with buy-ins are a thing of the past (unless I'm missing something other than a Premier membership...). Something to tell the grandkids about. On it's own, the wishlist offer is as disappointing as the general sale.

@barbult, I always (at least in the past 4 years) did a count of the items that I wanted/would use vs what I had no use for. If it raised to at least 60% of the bundle or higher I had no issue to buy it. For example, I like Thomas 9 but that ratio didn't work out, so Thomas stays in the store. I have the items on wishlist I want but I haven't bought any, they just haven't come up for a decent sale yet. I was also put off by the comic hero outfit that I didn't even have knowledge of (and I collected comics!).

There are about 6000 - 8000 products I have not downloaded now because they were fillers for those bundles: characters of little 'character', skimpwear, hairs, and products that are broken sadly. Also, I have no wish to clogged up my runtime with excessive characters again.

That uninstalled count also includes landscapes full of items that have little bearing with plants; vehicles I never used, and V4 and M4 because I loath trying to add the metadata for the upteenth time for all the files that are required to use their characters and then I never used them. I can use their outfits and hair with clones without them.

That said, there are items going back to Generation 3 or 4 or older that I was able to buy, or freebies that I installed because I have used them and they have details I love.

    Hello Wendy

    Click on Memberships

    Click on DAZ Plus

Click on the SIGN UP TODAY blue button

In the Payment Method there is a button called CHANGE PAYMENT METHOD for me, don't know if that's what you get if Subscribing from new. Am letting mine lapse.

Thanks, it's typically the only way I buy stuff from the store. Some folks say they hate playing Daz Jenga, but I find it fun.

If I can't buy a discounted yearly sub and pay for it with store credit its a big no from me.

Am doing subscription for DAZ AI but that's as far as I will go, find it useful for concept art, otherwise I would be sticking to Krita AI.

Was sticking to my hobby budget before, but now that I am not renewing DAZ+ and am starting to do my own models which means I will be spending less on purchases, then I will see how my budget pans out and might take up some other offers. Paying by PayPal will be a requisite though.

Call it an editing fail. I started post while the selection page was still Oops and forgot to delete that last question when I noticed it was live again.

One less item on my wishlist, then. I HAD the Minerva Christmas bundle on WL but I don't want to buy both the figure and the content for probably twice what I could get both for 2 days ago. I have sufficient similar content for Mrs. Claus renders

    Close enough.

There is a new working link at https://www.daz3d.com/premier-characters#index=3&filtered=1 & there you'll find the new/redone bundles currently eligible for the Premier free bundle coupon perk - Vicky 9, Walter 9, Tara 9, Lahr 9, Pixie 9, Lawrence 9, & Genghis Khan 9 HD Character Bundles.

I have loved the $1 door busters, but that has been mostly the only thing to entice me to buy currently. Good thing is can wait a couple weeks to use my tokens when something pops up I really like. I would have bought a bunch of premier for a day items, but often their was only 1 or 2 I wanted that day and I did not want to buy a debut new item to get the discount so I just passed on it that day. The BYOB today is definitely blah. 5 daz+ items for $10 is not that special as a bunch of those can be had with tokens at about that price. If it stacked with tokens and other discounts that would be another story maybe. I will be happy when we start getting some super realistic characters again for the weekly release. The toon stuff is cool, but not something I am going to be using any time soon. Edit: The anniversary byob is stupid. A very large number of the items are cheaper by themselves by a lot with no tokens. Probably well over half of the items in the selection are cheaper just using tokens. Many of the items from the last couple years in the list could be had a few days ago for around $1 with stacking tokens on debut new or other special. Very, very, VERY, disappointing BYOB.
