NGartplay : thank you.
A self made terrain with a material from Terrain Stacking and many instanced trees. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Islands 2. The key light by the sun, the moon is a sphere with my own material.
This is essentially the same scene as https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3850396/#Comment_3850396 with small changes and a different lighting.
The difference between the images, just by changing the lighting is fantastic. Love your moon. Is there a way to put the moon into the scene and have clouds in front of it (instead of behind?)
NGartplay - thank you. To answer your question. The sky and clouds as well the HDRI are at "infinite" distance, farther than the maximum world size in Bryce of 102,400 BU (Bryce units). You cannot place anything farther away. If you look closely on my image above, you can (hardly) see some red clouds in front of the moon - actually the unlit part of the moon is transparent and thus the illusion that some faint clouds are in front of the moon is created.
To have the moon behind the clouds without "cheating", you can use an infinite slab with a cloud material and put the moon above it.
Wow Horo another outstanding render, no doubt lighting changes the mode of the scene.
I used one of the cloudscape from David’s Cloudscape 4 and added Drachenlord’s Dark Temple of Baphomet.
Horo : the result of the difference between the lighting of the scenes is very cool.
mermaid : fantastic scene, perfect lighting.
mermaid - thank you. Great place for Drachenlord's temple, very nice and fitting sky to this arid landscape.
adbc - thank you.
Horo:
Your landscapes rock, literally! ;) Awesome terrain work, mat work and lighting.
Mermaid:
- A cool SciFi cityscape (on the previous page). Great coloring.
- That poor little temple seems forgotten. Great mats and sky.
adbc:
Cool metallic mushroom worlds.
Thanks Adbc, Horo and Hubert
Thank you hubert.
hubert : thank you.
Thank you Horo
Mermaid, such a cool building in a stark landscape. It has that otherworldly look to it. Great work.
Thank you NGartplay
A self made terrain with a material from HRT-4. The material of the cobbled pavement is by and from Marco Schneider aka c-ram. The trees are BTO's -- the plants are trees too, from Vegetation and the jogger is Michael 4. Backdrop, clouds and ambient light by an HDRI from Integrated RTR Environments & Light and the key light by the sun.
Wow Horo an outstanding photorealistic scene, good idea to add a jogger, fantastic work with the vegetation.
Horo : fantastic, realistic scene, the vegetation looks awesome.
Thank you mermaid and adbc.
An experiment using one of the files from the Hyper Textures product, one object has the hyper texture and the other the original materials.
mermaid : well done experiment, love the reflecting colours.
3 Bryce terrains, an HDRI sky and some water.
mermaid - very nice result of your experiment.
adbc - very nice looking scene under an interesting sky.
Thanks Adbc and Horo
Adbc a beautiful scene, the sky is awesome.
Horo, mermaid : thank you.
The object is from Alien Artifacts Vol2 by MatCreator with a simple white material, reflecting and enhanced specularity. It rests on a fading disk, in the background a 2D-Face with a faint bump. Light and colour by a tone-mapped HDRI from Hyper Textures Base. Below is the anaglyph. Click on the pictures to enlarge.
Wow another outstanding Horo render, magnificent lighting, The anaglyph is awesome
I used another one of David's beautiful cloudscapes for this outpost render
Horo : superb render, great lighting, love the anaglyph.
mermaid : outstanding scene, beautiful cloud and light effect. Nice to include some buildings.
mermaid - thank you. Very nicely done outpost in this arid land and the sky fits perfectly.
adbc - thank you.
Thanks Adbc and Horo
The terrain with a material from Terrain Stacking is from HRT-2. In front of the camera a warm red filter from Lenses and Filters. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI and the key light by the sun. The lake is a 2D-Disk with my material.
Beautiful landscape, Horo, I love the use of the red filter, it adds to the perfect lighting.
Horo : outstanding landscape, the red filter adds a special effect to the lighting.
Bryce terrains and tree, free rocks and crystals, power 2D plants.
