Ahh ... big issue for me here. The clothing is all black in the viewport.

Is it something to do with my OpenGL settings or is it by design? If the latter, it will make it almost impossible to pose because I can't see any detail at all.

Ok - found the problem - I had Backface Lighting turned off.

Hmm. Certainly not by design, So thats just how it shows up in view port? (renders ok for example?)

Edit: Ahh ok it was Normals related...

Yes, it renders OK but see above .. I just posted before I realised that I had my vieport settings tuned for posing without delay. Backface Lighting makes posing very slow when HD is used, I just need to remember to turn down the resolution and then turn it up again when I'm ready to render (I don't use 3Delight, I use Luxrender so I need to have the resolution high in the General parameters).

Noted for the next time I update this set, I will reverse the normal's. I wasn't aware of it causing a domino effect problem this way.
    thanks for letting me know.
I know where its happening in my work flow , 3dsMax Obj exports & import to studio, the normal's get flipped somewhere
Not so apparent in Studio with out the kind of settings you mention above.

Don't normally buy first thing in the morning (relatively speaking) but this was a priority. (Though I'm wishing I could have afforded the Mary Janes last month. Ah well. The ones from the Genesis MFD expansion 3 convert well enough to G2F for a pinch.)

With luck, (and good timing) the G2M version should end up purchased just as quickly. :)

I have your Autumn rain set and I think I saw similar problems with that - maybe you could check? Otherwise, I'm really happy with your products :)

This hit my cart with such speed earlier that it's a wonder it didn't make a hole in the bottom of it. I was very keen to get my youngsters into school uniform, but unfortunately they're going to have to wait. The headteacher took one look at the new addition to the school wardrobe then jumped the queue and demanded 'Break out the shaders - this is far too good for the children!' :)

    Haha love it ^ :)
Looks a bit like my sons head teacher in fact, very good late 40's look there, if she's a dial mix its a good one, I'm curious what the ingredients are? Middle aged female characters are quite hard to nail.

The headmistress was a bit of a quick cheat, really. The texture was created a few weeks ago for the original Genesis figure using Zev0 and Draagonstorm's 'Skin Builder Pro' because I wanted a character with grey eyebrows. Being relatively new to all this, it took me until yesterday to realise that I could use Slosh's fabulous 'K4 UV’s for G2M & G2F' Christmas gift to stick the skins I've made for the original Genesis straight on to Genesis 2.

Most of the stuff I've done to date has been with the original Genesis and so I don't have the aging morphs for G2 (yet. It's just a matter of time!), but fortunately I had picked up the 'Bellatrix' character when she was on Fast Grab the other day. Mrs Headteacher sports 'Bellatrix younger' facial morphs and says her new outfit has taken years off of her :)

An unmistakable boarding school scene. Nicely done! :)

The set is amazing - and the promos of the girls chit-chatting are particularly sweet.

Just a quick spin with trying to put together my own badge/crest.

It isn't exactly the same as from my daughter's school (theirs would be gyronny Sable and Argent), but it is similar enough. :)

    Thank you very much Dogz!

It was a lot of fun to do. It was not a hard to setup since everyone is wearing the same outfit and you can mix G2F girls very easily for different results.

    Wow! Nice job.

I admit, my clothing standards have now been raised after seeing this awesome product. It certainly has the realism I've long wanted in adult clothing. =-)

    Niiice! :cheese:

Though, I'm holding off buying either product until I know whether or not there will be a bundle... :)

No plans for a bundle at this time, the problem being that they are released apart. So rolling out a bundle on the male release would be punishing those who already supported me by purchasing the female version earlier/now. So I cant be doing a bundle if its at the cost of those people losing out.

I cannot promise anything. But what I will do, is see what Daz can do in terms of giving a bigger discount on the male version to those who already own the female one in their account (maybe a coupon or something like that.). I'm not entirely sure what is possible, But how ever its arranged, It will have to be done in a way that is fair on everybody regardless of weather they bought the female version earlier or waited.

That would be awesome. I was really excited when I saw this product, and even more excited when I saw you were working on a male version. I am always bummed when nice uniforms and other sets come out, but without a matching set for the other gender.

Definitely a purchase for me, and if you are able to do any add-one as mentioned, I would also grab those!

    Thanks!

I love the the way this fits, especially the blouse. Like your Super Dress it has a natural fit in the chest area. I wish other vendors did that. I liked it so much I went back and bought the shoes, also awesome!

Excellent render Luci! I grabbed the shoes too, without a second thought. I eagerly await the outfit for the boys so I can renders wizards from Potter to Constantine. I'm considering doing texture expansions as well.
    Top notch quality Dogz!

Thanks! I look forward to the boys outfit too and your texture expansions.

Belle and Brodie make it fun to play with the younger characters as they can be turned into a variety of average looking kids, including geeks, very easily, :cheese:

Finally had time to sit down and play with this. It's easily one of the best school uniforms out there, but I had to fudge for a beret (as well as underpants for the short skirt mode.) Also wish there had been a set of white textures to make custom tinting a little easier easier. Overall, though, a really fantastic job.
