Hi guys, I’m back with a great new creature for DAZ Studio and Poser; Baryolax. I’m really excited about this character not only because I finally support Poser but because of all the hard work I put into it to make sure he’s highly detailed and full of features.

Baryolax is a fully rigged character for DAZ Studio and Poser that comes with pose presets, expression morphs, pose controls, material presets and 5 hand-painted texture sets to customize the look of the creature.

Baryolax is soon to be released and a separate set of fighting poses for him and Genesis 2 Male and Female will also be released.

I designed him with versatility in mind. In the sense that he can be a wild beast acting on instinct, a sentient alien, a demon from hell or a creature for a fantasy world. I’m sure that whatever your need Baryolax will be useful.

Here's a quick preview with one of my test scene I use to tweak materials.

Here's another render I put together in DAZ Studio to show some of the provided poses and the five hand-painted texture sets.

Lot of hours… you mean lot of weeks… :)
But I just love doing this and I know it shows.

Hi! That is a beautiful sculpt. I really like the work you've done on the muscles and the textures.

Have you thought about offering a morph to lengthen some or all of the teeth, to make him even more menacing and scary?

    More menancing, MORE???? ;)
Looks to be a lovely, cuddly, eat-your-soul-out-whilst-crooning-lullabies kind of critter :)

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm going to buy it either way. It's awesome. I was just thinking how fun a full face shot of that open mouth would be with slightly longer pearlies. ;)

This is a definite buy as soon as I can afford it. That beast would scare the undead! :)

This is one seriously mean looking character.

Thanks for all your comments and your enthusiasm.

And to answer the question; no, I didn’t thought of a teeth length morph. But there’s always room for a morph expansion pack with something like a body builder and a female morph…

    Maybe armors and accessories to.

In the mean time, a set of 29 fighting poses for Baryolax, Genesis 2 Male and Genesis 2 Female will be released.

so this is a standalone figure or a morph?
it uses same bone names as Genesis 2MF? or two pose sets

    It's a standalone figure.

For the bone names, if I get your question right, I use the same naming convention as with the poser figures.

And the pose pack shown above is one separate pack containing 13 poses for Baryolax, 8 poses for Genesis 2 Female and 8 poses for Genesis 2 Male.

So it's a .cr2 with one abdomen bone (as opposed to Abdomen 1 and Abdomen 2)?

We're not trying to nitpick, we're trying to figure out which clothes we can convert. ;)

Well it's a .cr2 and a .duf and he does have abdomen 1 and abdomen 2. Two abdomen bones allow for better deformation in my opinion.
I think that converting cloths for him may be quite difficult...

I've made, and sold, clones before. If he comes with a .duf, I bet I can make it happen. :D At least I plan to try it when he is out. It'll be a fun little project, and if I succeed, think how cool it'll be to put him in chest armors and loincloths at the very least. Having the two abdomen bones like G2 instead of the single like Gen 4 helps a lot with that.

Maybe DAZ will let me offer it as a freebie in the store. Would you be okay with my doing something like that?

Seconding the earlier suggestions for additional morphs (or an expansion pack, if too late), along the lines of the Dinokonda's 'EP Plus' set. Love the attention to detail! But could definitely see room for different crests, seizes of teeth, length/shape of jaws, length of talons, dorsal and tail spikes and so forth... Maybe new textures for a 'blind' look, skeletal and Giger-like surface, too. Possibly cybernetic one, also (there's a Tyrannosaurus Rex in the store with a robotic skin expansion).

And Sickle, if you can get G1 and/or G2 clothing to auto-fit for this, it would be amazing! Double the reason the get some of those barbarian outfits, too! Maybe a new reason for someone to bring out some proper futuristic, vacuum-sealed armour, too. :) Although, I could definitely see some of Midnight Stories' skin-tight alien-looking costumes looking stunning on this for an extraterrestrial appearance.

Seriously, though, this will be a must-purchase for those of us needing inhuman creatures. Love that you put those tri-jointed digitigrade legs on it! And that reptilian skin looks genuinely thick and blade-resistant.

Don't suppose there's any chance of finding your Wormbeast creations in the store, any time soon? ;) Noticed them in your gallery and they look ace.

Wormbeast... Never thought of this one has a possible release for the store. If more people are interested in this creature I will definitely release it… Half the work is done:)

People love giant bitey things. You should definitely sell this. I've got an upcoming project with a worm in it, but their styles are very different, I think there's definitely market room for both (this one has a more defined mouth and teeth and a rugged body, where mine looks more like a smooth parasitic roundworm).

Also, those drool meshes are cool.

Now, about an expansion pack. More morphs, spikes and mechanical implants would be nice but I don’t know for now. Maybe if RawArt want to make it, that would be great. Tell me what you think RawArt.
