Love that the 1st three tell an interactive story. And I do love those Nik filters, they are so much fun to play with (and suck up hours at a time lol). It really interesting to see the Iray conversion side by side like that.
That guy wuith the heavy armor together with the motorbike is quite an interesting combination, the filter gives it the right feeling of actually belonging together, Nice!
This is one I started before Christmas and I have just got around to finish it. (The cooling fan on the laptop was on the blink and everything was overheating and I have just go around to replacing it, even though it has been in the house since before Christmas :) )
Great composition on "The Meeting!" Very cool to have three renders on the same theme which progressively tells us a story - great idea!
There is a lot of yellow in them - perhaps consider balancing that out with a little blue? If the yellow is coming from the light, you might want to consider an overall blue cast with yellow spotlights at the streetlights and some other areas. The contrasting colors will add additional interest.
Did you use George for Santa? Guess that's what happens after he eats all those cookies... Somebody crunched the numbers and came up with Santa consuming over a million cookies - he must be superhuman!
The first image done in 3Delight using one of my own images as a backdrop.

I wanted to try it in Iray and this was the same render except everything converted with Iry Uber.

Everything seemed to be floating and I wasn't pleased with the JPG artifacts in the background image so I redid the panorama, it is two images stitched, and left it at full size. I loaded the Multiplane Cyclorama hid all the planes and added the image to it.

That was a little better but the middle ground is flat and the water has lost its texture. I lifted the camera up and looking down, near to the position I was in when I took the picture; added a distant light for the sun to get more shadow deffinition, and this is the result.
This is an @Infinito terrain with Terradome 3 Terrain Shader Base and Terradome material .jpg's added to the Diffuse channels in the Surface tab. Two Genesis 2 and one Genesis 3 figures. Dome and scene with HDRI and Distant Light. CPU only Total Rendering Time: 5 hours 41 minutes 47.77 seconds.
I saw a lot of talk about the Traveler clothes after I had bought it so I did a quick render with some adjustments :) 25 minutes to render CPU only in Iray.

Best way to attract people with that title
, so lets see them all!
A series I did using Urbansprawl3
Waiting.
The Meeting
Hand in Hand
Nope, I don't think I can ignore them. I really like the one with the peacock feathers. Nice!
Glad you started a thread! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Loosely based on the poem The Twa Corbies (The Two Ravens/Crows) originally done in 3DLight I converted it with the Iray Uber Shader.
This is the original (I think)
This is the Iray one from Studio 4.9 (15 hours to render )
Trying out the NIK Filters on a few old renders.

Santa is on a diet from tomorrow
Welcome to the art threads, Fishtales.

Another one I started and have just got around to finishing.
Gremlin in the Graveyard
Interesting work!
Thank you all for looking and for the comments.
Returning to another render I did some time ago.

Wow you can really see the differences between the two render images in the first two. Nice job on getting it converted over and looking good.
Sunset Sails.
What stunning renders Fishtales!!! Great work!!
I'm not sure where I was going with this one. TerraDome 3 and then Breaking waves on top of the Terradome 3 water.
I tried for a stream in the last image but it wasn't successful

That Way
While saving a render for the Bryce chalenge I came across these whic I did for previous chalenges.
Elephant Polo
Desert Island Music
Libertree
Bryce again this time it was film themed.
Close Encounters
Planet of the Apes
Star Wars Sunset
very nicely done! I love the one with the wizard pointing the way and the one with the statue of liberty
Thank you. I like the way the planet of the apes one turned out too, especialy how close I got it to the original :)

The wizard one is still in progress, watch this space :)
Yes, and I immediately though Planet of the Apes but didn't want to say so in case that wasn't what you were going for lol.
Added a few more figures, Grizzly Bear and Raven Flock. Total Rendering Time: 6 hours 51 minutes 13.95 seconds
I really like that experiment with you own photo as backdrop, did you use a shadow catcher or something of that sort?
@Linwelly
In the original 3Delight I used pwCatch for the shadows. For the Iray render I used the Multiplane Cyclorama and used my image for the diffuse.
Here is another one using one of my own images but this time I added rocks, trees and the fox in the foreground.
Dragonfly
Didn't do much too it straight out of the box.
A few tweaks of the skin and added some LAMH Fibermesh hairs.
Nice!
