I needed to come back and leave DarkEdgeDesign a shout-out on this.  I downloaded it a few weeks ago, and finally set aside the time to actually watch it.

This is an amazingly useful set of videos.  The how-to on setting up and linking dials alone was easily worth the purchase price. Thanks so much for putting it together!

  • Hey thanks so much for replying, it's always good to hear from customers...and I'm glad that you are finding the videos helpful!

Just as a follow-up I am in the process of creating a companion set of videos that will start where this one left off...always room for learning, right? wink

  • @DarkEdgeDesign - I finally got around to watching these yesterday (and successfully managed to rig my first prop laugh)  - really fantastic videos and more than worth the price.  I did have one question though: In the videos, when you hide unneeded parameter dials in edit mode they completely disappear, but when I do it they get greyed out but are still visible.  Did I miss a step somewhere?  Is it because I am using DS 4.8 and not the latest version?

  • That's because you have Show Hidden Properties checked. In your Parameters panel click on the hamburger (dashed lines) and un-check Show Hidden Properties. smiley

  • Aha! I do vaguely recall checking that at some point in the past.  Thank you! smiley
