Not my style of outfit, though I checked it out on your comment about the footwear because a lot of the outfits I have are for G8 and therefore the footwear doesn't work for my G9s. Giving it a pass because there really isn't a clear shot of the shoes. If your product is black, why on earth would you do most of your promos on a black background?

I get that!  I do. It's an old-school V4-style outfit, IMO. Loincloth dress? Check! Thigh-high boots and leggings? Check! Bracers? Check! Optional arm coverings? Check! Revealing bikini top? Check! Practical fighting gear? Shoulder armor? Check! Practical fighting gear? Well, she has normal, low heels on her leather boots. cheeky Sexy? Um... If a woman appeared wearing those clothes and looking like that, folks would be looking at her. wink Oh, the boots... They will be well-modelled black leather boots as advertised. IDK @biuzpharb, but @Val3dart has been doing this a while. Black-on-black promos emphasize the darkness of it all. No? Eh, guess not. I'd have showed the clay render. That would have been helpful!

Agreed that a clay render would be helpful.  And not like it would be extra work since I believe it's a requirement for approval.

I don't recall having much trouble fitting G8 footwear. Granted, I haven't been doing much with G9 until recently. (Overall, I am impressed with how well G9 autofit works.)

I've had a few G8 non-heeled shoes work okay on my G9s, but anything heeled I've tried (and it might just be the ones I've tried) has wound up distorted when I autofit it. It's annoying with modern outfits, but with the "warrior babe" ones it really sucks because it's hard to find something else to sub-in that looks right with the rest of the outfit. (One of my girls likes to strut around renfaires in that stuff, and she's a sidhe, so doesn't have to worry about how utterly impractical heels are for that sort of terrain because she's incapable of being anything but graceful). I'm sure there are ways to export and fiddle with things and reimport, but it's a matter of taking the time to both learn and do it. So far it's come down under the category of "eh, maybe someday, but right now there are things I want more, maybe an easy fix will come along in the meantime."

...picked up two really nice outfits that would work for a  "fighting monk" character, save for the fact both have high heel boots.

Why  can't we get more practical footwear with action styled clothing?

out of tokens, no coupons, no memberships, nothing on sale enough to urge me to buy a thing. Not even any free items available to entice me a bit. A new bundle but she isn't any more different than the other 300 female characters I have. Vanilla bean skin textures.
Well,  there will be another sale. Someday.

imo there are agreeable prices most of the time, but not without a full bank of tokens. I'm currently Premier, and there's effectively a $20 buy in (on double token days) or $40 buy in (on normal days) to be able to shop any sales. It's a weird limbo where I end up not buying anything.

Because that practical heel would not be as stylish or sexy, would require another set of footwear, and so on. As you know, heel sizes are up to the pa.

In practice, I try to but outfits with suitable f footwear. I've even sometimes bought such footwear, but it still requires adjustments to work with specific outfits

So we learn from Daz this week. That women must always be sexy and men must be covered head to toe in very practical looking and heavy sci fi battle armor. In fact, the men folk aren't even human, they're cyborgs.

Well, Daz is slowly pricing me out of purchasing anything outside of any big stacking offers/sales. New Daz+ releases for a Daz+ member are $6 with tax. This drops to $7.40 (including tax) if you buy both items, but unless you're interested in the second item, you're paying more.

Since I already have a lot of stuff and the prices are so high, I'm more inclined to buy only items that I really need/will use or are superb in some way, so it's unlikely that I'll buy both D+ releases at the same time, and that makes me wonder whether I want to buy the one $6 item that interests me for that price.

For example, I'd get Tuesday's CJ Raine, but I already have some primitive houses, so I'm not that interested (back when I could have gotten both for under $5, this probably would be no brainer). So I've been sitting on that cart since Tuesday and haven't purchased yet. At this stage, it is probable that I won't buy either, because as much as I like CJ Raine, I already have a lot of characters.

Friday releases? I could be interested in the treasure cave, but definitely not enough to pay $6 for it (first, I already have a lot of treasure props which are probably nicer; second, because XI's textures don't always look good to me in closeups, so the higher the price, the less I'm willing to take the risk), and I'm not interested in the yoga studio (very nice, just nothing I would ever use), so there's no discount incentive for getting both.

And with that, come the Daz+ renewal in a few months, I likely won't be renewing, because there isn't going to be enough incentive.

I understand that the company has to keep the lights on, and I know artists have to survive too. But, ultimately, I have to survive too. I feel that rising the prices will price out a lot of casual customers which in turn means less support. But perhaps enough people can afford Daz Premier, stacking up tokens, and so on, so rising prices and leaving regular but less spending customer behind might be a smart business approach.

I think I'd be more offput by the rising prices if Daz offered more things that I found useful. PAs are going to make the things they enjoy making, and that sell well, and that makes sense. But I think I'm super far out of the general target demographic. Whether the latest post-apoctalyptic space army cyborg nurse skimpwear is $3 or $30, it's still not going in my cart.

... now if AM put out a feline bundle like the rabbit bundle, I'd be sunk.

Ah, yes high heels are a pain, whether in real life or when doing 3d art. I wasn't using heels so that probably makes a difference. I used https://www.daz3d.com/amazing-morphing-pumps-for-genesis-8-females by Fisty & D'arc with either the flat or 1" morph. There's also a boot set (https://www.daz3d.com/amazing-morphing-boots-for-genesis-8-females), although no above-the-knee morph. They are great sets with multiple material zones and I wish they'd make some for G9.

The cyborg set does support female shapes too, though the promos mainly show it on male shapes.

Thank you. I didn't know that doubling up on Daz+ tandem releases discounted them. And it only works for the tandem. Does that deal last for two weeks? Daz advertises what I don't care about and hides what I want to know.

It's only their release week, from what I can see by putting things in my cart (possibly less for Friday items?). There's also 60% discount on the 4 related Daz+ items (older, but in the range of "1-2 years older" not "15-20 years older). They are announced in the Daz+/Premier member forums in the weekly releases thread. The discount for both has also been discussed there many times (as it is often paused for big monthly events).

That's not a sale per se, that's bi-weekly freebies. Yes, selection includes some entertaining items, imo. The Kin items have been up there a long time. Freebies have been noticeably better lately.

Yo're welcome. As maikdecker said, it really depends on the question. For any sales stuff, the reporting thread in the Commons is always the best bet (chances are somebody already posted, a report has been made, or even a solution has been found), and for general questions about assets and Daz, I'd wager non-member forums are also a more likely place to get the answer (just because of the fact that there are more people there, and there's a bigger chance someone will know the answer).

But it's a good place for information about Daz+ new releases and other related things.

+1000 for both thoughts! You know what I think would be even a cooler AM bundle? Farm and woodland animals! Goat, sheep, chicken ... and deer, roe-deer and such ... I know we have some older animals like this, but in AM quality - that would be just brilliant.

My grandmother taught me that if I liked two desserts and couldn't decide, I should just have both.

I feel like that sentiment would apply here. Especially the random woodland critters, if only because I'd have more use for them.

We could use a decent songird set, too. I have the bundle that's out there currently, and it's something, but...

Absolute agree on the dessert question heart! And the critters as well. For birds, I'm mostly using those by Ken Gilliland, but the variety in his packs is almost too much for me. Like, he makes a pack of ten different owl species when I need basically one or two ... But he has some great mixed flock packs as well, these are dead useful. It would be amazing to have something like that by AM as well.

I'm really liking today's flash sale!  The sale says 60% off Flash PAs, but I'm getting 86% off of some of them. Best of all, that's without any buy-in.
