Also please clarify whether or not purchase of a gift card results in a punch the next day
Will ask, but I suspect most of them will be in a turkey-induced stupor (or a cooking-induced panic).
These are both in there, but I get how it's easy for brains to just not intake everything when there's so much about a sale you're trying to absorb at once. (Goodness knows I've missed tons of "obvious" stuff in the past)
#1 covered in the description: A purchase today will get you a punch tomorrow.
#2 covered in the fine print: When you miss 1 day of purchasing, the punch deal starts over.
I purchased gift cards but there is no change in Punch Cards, So I bought another product and used the DO discount which was not very cost-effective, but still no change.
So I came here to seek answers, Now I know you may not see the changes until the next day.
Well, I should double check the article here before spending any money.
In previous incarnations, missing a day dropped you one punch, but you still had the other two. This tells me that I loose all three, starting over with zero punches. Doesn't sound fair.
IIRC you also did drop back to 0 last year, at least at the begining of the sale. I think they changed the rules during the sale.
I have a query regarding the time zones used in punch card systems.
Specifically, when punch card rules mention terms like "a day", "daily" or "the next day," which time zone are they referring to? Is it Mountain Standard Time (MST), Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), or the user's local time?
I encountered a strange occurrence last year. A hole that had been closed on my card was inexplicably reopened on the same day, according to MST.
I'm uncertain whether this indicates that the system operates on a time zone different from MST or if it was simply a technical glitch.
Without a clear understanding of the time zone used by the punch card system, it's difficult to maintain punched holes consistently on a daily basis.
Oh, yes, I remember the issues with the advent calendar turnover last year. This might be a good question to ask in the reporting thread, and hopefully the mods can highlight it to Daz, so that the Daz team can put the time zone explicitly in the punch description.
Ah, so it is there, just not prominent. I admit to have only skimmed through the thing as I've been with Daz long enough to just go, "Oh. Punches." and know how they work, lol.
But I still anticipate the large volume of questions.
Oh no doubt. And it being Daz, they probably won't function as advertised anyway, at least for the first few days.and especially because they started it on a holiday when the support team is probably focusing on their families.
Thanks for the reply, so you bought her and don't see these options in the library files, am I getting this right?
That's correct. There is only one folder under her character name that has anything in it: Iray materials for skintone and make-up. Her body and head morphs are in the Parameters pane. That's all the included content I could find. It's kind of a strange way to set up a character from DAZ.
