Whoosh! The sound of your joke whizzing over my head. The HS around here has ~5000 students. I wasn't even thinking about homeschool. And "Mummy" is a big clue, but it didn't sink in. Ok!
My dog also hates thunderstorms, simply terrified of the big booms.
4th of July is a nightmare for that!
The name of Spicy the dog made me think of this story that was floating around in recent days. We used to have danger noodles in the yard but have not seen one since moving out of the exurbs.
Danger noodle. Never heard that term 'til now. Poisonous snake. Learn something new every day!
Spicy was afraid of brooms too.
This is the last image I saved to my phone from the internet. (Until I download another one!)
can you guess who has hands like these?
Me and my dog would go outside and sit on the front porch/stoop during thunderstorms and we'd bark at the thunder... yes, I did bark at the thunder too... it's very rude not to if your dog is into that... I'd also howl at fire trucks with him too... I miss him... sometimes I'll make a halfhearted sad howl on his behalf when a fire truck passes. He was the bestest buddy.
Retractable claws, so I'm going to say either a velociraptor or a cat?...
probably a cat.
...bugger forgot to get more cereal when I was at the market today.
The brekkie spree will have to go on hold for a couple mornings..
I slept in again. I had a stick of cheese for breakfast.
It appears my answer to the title of this thread is... Yes! Oh well. It's the way of things. Now, where did I leave my bag of cereal? And how can such an obvious dessert item parade around so brazenly as real food?
Yay for sleeping in! What kind of cheese?
Colby Jack
Is it me or does that sound like a good Stupid Pirate name... "Yarrrr, I be Colby Jack the fiercest pirate in all the six seas"... "yarr... what ye mean there be seven seas...?
I had a stick with cheese too... the cheese was megh, the stick however was sassafras and had a delightful perfumie taste... like gnawing on an old cedar shingle.
Pirate name! +1
That's a tasty cheese.
I love Colby Jack cheese!
Not much of a cheese store, was it? Good luck buying a parrot and no one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
...ah, repleished the cereal supply today. More brekkie mayhem awaits.
Complaint: The density of pea soup. Found a flat of Campbell's Pea Soup on Amazon a while back. I love pea soup, but hadn't had it for years. Mmmm..., tasty, creamy, fragrant, filling. I ended up eating a whole can of prepared soup, enough for at least 3 meals, in one meal yesterday. (*can you say pig?*) Now I have a whole can of smashed peas coagulating from liquid back into heavy, clay-like mash in my intestines, adding 3 pounds to my weight this morning. And I'm sure, forming a memorable obstruction to deal with later in the day. And I was doing so well on my diet.
Especially after fish-slap dancing.
I would never slap a fish. But I might get slapped by a fish.
I guess you are not into old Monty Python skits...
Fish Slap Dance
Dead Parrot
Spanish Inquisition
Cheese Shop
I don't want to touch a fish. I have actually touched a fish in the past. I think it startled the fish more than me.
...
I haven't seen many of them. I've only heard people speak fondly of them. Based on those clips, I think I favor that style of humor over something like South Park or whatever someone my age is supposed to like.
They're worth a look! They're not all gold, but a lot of them are quite entertaining. Some of them are raunchy too. British humor!
South Park? Wow! Looks like they're still making new episodes. I have to admit, I haven't actually watched any for a long, long time. Those kids should be 30-somethings by now. Cartoon magic, I guess. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the clips. The one Kyoto Kid posted is good, too.
