Some people just can't follow a simple 4-word instruction.  I wouldn't know who they are, because I'm not reading this thread.

I always assumed it meant the individual singing the song (Boy George) was implying the person they are singing about changes their karma like a chameleon changes color, but that's not how karma works, so even if the person is stringing them along as the song implies, going hot and cold, it wouldn't flip their karma and basically the song makes no damn sense... but it's catchy if you are drunk and it's still 1984.

Not exactly brochure material for time travel.

My last name (Scots-Irish in origin) has gone through lots of spelling changes through the years, but the original meant "stubborn". I wear it proudly. smiley

I saw on a reddit post that if you suffer from scurvy your scar tissues get broken down first as full of collagen, so all your old wounds and surgical scars open up.

Dont eat your seafaring mates, they don't produce vitamin C either only other animals do.

sucking a lemon with your rum ration preferable

that's a wee bit better than the translation of my  Celtic family name  (also probably scots'Irish and also with spelling changes).   Literally means book.  So my ultimate descendant was probably a Librarian.  (I collect and read books)

BTW   had you realised that the Scots  (or Scota)   were originally Irish illegal immigrants in Scotland,  yet  the country got named after them,  in much the same way as England was named after  the Angles,  who also invaded Britain.

You make cannibalism sound unhealthy... you know, you could eat your seafaring mates with a little bit of lemon and everything would be fine.

Also some fava beans and a nice Chianti too...

For example, let's say your ship gets shipwrecked on a desert island, and you're allergic to the native fruit.  Let your shipmates eat the fruit, and then eat your shipmates.

I see a few problems with that approach.  1) Will your shipmates let you eat them?  2) If not, can you overpower them?  3) If not, there might be a lot of fruit on that island.  Can you out starve them?surprise

And most importantly, they might get tired of fruit!  Can you outrun them?indecision

I think I didn't ignore the thread, but went to bed.  I might have watched something but can't remember.  I did start watching Lucy with Scarlette Johanson.  I forgot how to spell her name, but she also played Black Widow.

Would anyone buy a jersey that a player wore during a game?  if so would they wash the sweat and dirt off of it so it will not stink?

  • kyoto kidkyoto kid Posts: 41,110

...I would.  Worn and signed jerseys that are sold though copllectors outlets are usuallywashed.

How are you supposed to clone them if you wash away the DNA?
