no Nexium for a week, my reflux will be awful, bought a big bottle of Gaviscon.

getting Heliobacter breath test Monday so need 7 days free for the test.

I really hope it is positive as would be an easy answer and possible cure but sadly have had reflux all my life so doubtful crying

also my cholesterol is too high and my blood pressure

You have my sympathies.  Due to conflicts with my other meds the only anti-reflux med I could take was ranitidine, so now I'm stuck with reflux.

Not saying this is anyone else's problem, but my reflux stopped when I stopped overeating.

...same here,  Having to do stricter portion control is a good thing,  Also saves money as well as weight.

I used to be one of those types restaurants that had all you can eat deals dreaded to see walk in the door.  The really silly part I was rather lanky as I had the metabolism of a teenager all the way into my early 50s .

Everybody's situation is different, but I too suffered from acid reflux terribly, way back in my 30s.  The specialist I went to measured the strength of the valve between my esophagus and stomach and said it was one of the weakest he'd ever seen and that I'd have trouble for the rest of my life (his bedside manner really sucked).  I started taking all sorts of drugs to control it but eventually gave them up (too expensive, too many complications and side effects and interactions with other drugs) and started not eating or drinking after 6:00 at night.  Especially not eating chocolate, or coffee, or other known problem causing foods.  And sleeping partially sitting up especially for the first few hours of the night.  i.e. never laying down with food still in my stomach.  I rarely have any episodes anymore.  Except when I violate my own rules about eating late. (*urp*)

However, that being said,... if you're having problems during the day while standing up or sitting with moderate volumes in your stomach, then "yeah" you have a bigger problem than me.  I solved it by eating less at meals and not eating after 6:00PM.  I still enjoy chocolate and coffee but at the prescribed times and not in mass quantities.

I hope you get to see it. I've seen it and enjoyed it. If you enjoy Gal Gadot's portrayal of WW you will too.

I started out as a penguin sprinkler. I left when I was told there was no such job. I liked the uniform though, so I wore it for several years. Ah, memories...

Yesterday I knew that there were several packages with parts for my new computer arriving by UPS and I know about what time the truck comes through town.  So, I decided to wash dishes at that time and watch through the window anticipating him like Santa Claus.  Then up the street, what did my wondering eyes behold.  A brown van with many powerful horses under the hood stopped along the street, and a man in brown delivering his gifts to the good boys & girls in that block.  I watched and waited for the van to begin to move again and finally after what seemed forever it started.  Out of sight it glided.  Behind the shed obstructing my view.  It's coming, it's coming I thought as I dried my hands and watched for the magic van to come into view again and glide to a stop in front of my driveway.  I made my way out onto the porch to watch the landing.  On it came, the driver, I'm sure, urging his eager horses to remain calm as he called their names. <too many to list> Then there it was, it was slowing, on it came, and passed right by the driveway, right by the mailboxes and out of sight.  Shocked, I moved to the edge of the porch and leaned out to see where he had gone but couldn't see around the corner of the house.  Dismay setting in, I steeled myself to brave the mud in the driveway and go into the slime to get a better view.  But before I'd decended the steps,  the man in brown came around the corner with an armful of packages.  Oh "frabjous day, callooh, callay", I chortled in my joy.  Then, twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gymbol in the wabe, all mimsy were the borogroves and the mome raths outgrabe.  Wheee...smiley

The gist of my story I hope you've got,

    but a poet I'm not.indecision
