Gee... I didn't know that it mattered which way the target help was faceing... I've always thought of it a single point and only used it to point the a Camera at. When would you want to rotate it?

If you use it with the Track modifier you can make other objects track the target's rotation.

    Now it makes sense.

the hot point of camera doesnt seem to point forward from the lens?  sending it to irigin, the lens is on the batting cage floor.

lightbulb hotpoint is facing out the bottom?

thinkin to group target helper, camera, and sunlight, so that camera is always seeing the sun (or moon) wherever it is in the sky.,

    or point at sun/moon

For an image showing where it loads and how I think it should load w/settings see http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1308431/#Comment_1308431. My post before that is similar but sitting on a plane after making additional changes.

If the sun/moon you mention are actual 3d models then you can simply use point at in your camera Modifiers. Both Camera/modifiers Point at and Track point at and track the sun/moon light themselves from what I have been able to do. Using Track Position put the camera into an upside down position, sky at bottom/land at top of screne, and I've not been able to correct it. :(

Help... Misty lead me down into the dark forsest then ran off... now let's see what direction did we come from.

MistyMist - I would venture to say that you can achieve renders like this in Carrara already, and there are a number of ways to achieve it.  My "Realism in Carrara" videos go into detail about how to use Carrara's native render engine to produce very realistic results, including interiors.  Your other choices include Luxrender and Octane, both of which will produce extremely realsitic results (and Octane very fast as well, albeit at a higher cost).

    admiring your water work!

i know i'se doing it wrong.  i enable the light through transparency in both checkboxes, then have to walk away from my render rig for a week.

i'se a fool for the pumped up settings.  and it's prolly unnecessary on so many levels.

    need more cores!!

    So beautiful http://www.daz3d.com/wildenlander-watch-hd-for-genesis-3-male-s

    so incompatible with Carrara crying

    I just cry

    I shall buy it

I shall fight to fit it on G2M and render it in my one true software loves I shall not be defeated

maybe even rig a polygonal obj exported HD version using the Transfer Utility in DS on the converted original though it ahall grind Carrara to its knees.

(or at least try running it through Xnormal if it helps)

Gianni 6 shall wear it Misty and He shall look AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
