Thanks for the great feedback @NorthOf45 , much appreciated!

    @Fixmypcmike
Yes, if you only use the 3Delight (or Poser on older sets) versions of the sets you can skip all those updates.
They only affect the .exr files (HDRI textures) which are used by the Iray versions.

Hi Flipmode! Can I be so bold to suggest you start adding .hdr:s along with the .exr:s in future products? I use 3DL with high range skytextures, but .exr is the one format that does not work properly, .hdr is fine , however. Just for your information smiley

    Sure, good to know!
I´ll keep it in mind and look into it when I get there with the next product.

Trying out 87678_FMA Exo Orbits HDRIs and Skyspheres

Looks good, except for a couple that appear as a thin strip of color a few pixels wide on a black field.
FMA EO P01 Lush Mid Iray.duf
    FMA EO P04 Lava02 Low Iray.duf

    Thanks for the report!

Yes, I see it, it´s a mistake on my end.
I´ve fixed it here and will submit it to Daz tomorrow.

Just installed the update for FMA Exo Orbits. All good! Thanks!

Finally got around to installing Frozen Lake Skyspheres/HDRIs, and I found a problem with a couple of the HDRI's on the Iray side.

"FMEE FrozenLake Sky Aurora02 Iray.duf" and "FMEE FrozenLake Sky Night02 Iray.duf" show only a few vertical blobs of light in one area. See sample spot renders. (Forum attachments not working)

I get a scattering of dots that might be stars, but yes the aurora is certainly not showing and there is a vertical blob so something has gone wrong.

The hdri images are being loaded, but it looks like these are also compressed in an incompatible manner - they're .exr files by flipmode.

I have two black screens when I load those two files on my Win 11 version of D|S 4.22.1.110 Pro Edition that was just released. The other files work okay.

If you click on Browse in the Render Environment Map, you can manually select the .jpg file for those scenes and they will work. Not sure why the .exr files were left in during the update in Nov 2023 which was to correct the .exr problem.

    Hi guys!
    Thanks for reporting this.
Richard guessed it right, something went wrong in my chaos of mass-fixing all those HDRIs in November. That´s on me, sorry!

I have submitted an update to Daz just a few minutes ago, but of course it will take a while until they can take care of it and it´ll show up for customers.
If you don´t want to wait that long please let me know and I´ll pm you links to the fixed HDRIs for Frozen Lake and the Addon.

Got the official updates yesterday. All good! Thanks again.

Ah, somehow I missed that. Thanks for dropping the info.
Now let´s hope we finally got them all. ;)

    Hi guys!

Time to drop previews for a new Easy Environments set: Oak Woods View :)

It includes both the noon and dawn scenes and works with Iray and 3Delight (Renders above are Iray).
No release date yet, but it shouldn´t be long.

As for HDRIs ... I switched to .hdr for this set.
There should be an optional download featuring the same HDRIs in .exr format, in case anyone wants to test or compare them.
Myself, I didn´t see any difference in quality while testing it.

Nice! I particulary like the second render.

Thanks Leana, glad you like it!
Yes, I usually like dawn/sunset renders best too. ;)

Very beautiful scenes! I've got much use out of the Easy Environment sets over the years.
  • FlipmodeFlipmode Posts: 908

Thank you Zippy, always happy to read the sets are actually useful. ;)

Is anyone still using the 3Delight versions on new releases?

    I do. Love them.

Very nice indeed. Still doing a 3DL version?

  • FlipmodeFlipmode Posts: 908

    Thanks guys!

    Yes, still doing 3DL versions.
I ran into a bug with 3DL this time, took me a while to figure out what was going on. So I just wanted to have a quick check if there is still demand for it. ;)

    Here´s two 3Delight renders >

I'm still using 3DL more than Iray, so I'm definitely happy to see the 3DL version included.

  • JOdelJOdel Posts: 6,286

Looks good. Thank you for still supporting 3DL.

The set immediately migrated to my cart yesterday, along with some other EEs that I didn't have yet. I'm looking forward to trying everything! Oak Woods View looks so good!

  • FlipmodeFlipmode Posts: 908

Thanks caravelle, glad to hear it!
I hope you´ll enjoy your new stuff and get some nice renders out of it. ;)

It and some dragon poses were the only two sure things in my cart. I was delayed in purchase by what else went in. When my life gets easier, I am looking forward to using it. A cat is driving me nuts.

  • FlipmodeFlipmode Posts: 908

Not sure what to make of the cat thing (literal? secret code?), but I hope your life gets easier soon anyway. ;)

  • LeanaLeana Posts: 11,728

Went into my cart yesterday too :)

@Flipmode, a ginger who has a stomach upset and is taking it out on me. Lots of laundry, interrupted sleep.

But I was able to get some time to try out EE Oak View. I kept it simple, just a Husky jogging on the track. That is such a nice element to have because it is something I can so relate to. Denver is a very jogging/walking path city/park/mountain area. Very nice and easy to use. On my MacBook Pro M1 which defaults to CPU it took only 25 minutes to render with the Husky in the scene.

@Leana Thanks, your continued support for those sets is appreciated!

@memcneil70 Ah, thanks for clarifying the cat problem! Hope she gets better soon, for both of you.
Really cool render, never though of an animal walking the trail. ;)
I think the Oak Woods setting is somewhat neutral in terms of region, many places look like that. A friend of mine said it invokes childhood hiking memories for him, and we live in Austria. ;)

Hi guys! We are going vertical! ;)

The next set is a bit uncommon for the Easy Environments Series by being rather industrial, but it shares the same traits known from other EE sets.
"Vertigo Tower" features a huge rusty Radio Tower, with three different main platforms to place characters on.
The set includes position poses which can be used to bring those platforms to a zero position ... which is more convenient to work with than having to move your characters 400 meters up. ;)
Two of the ladders leading up to platforms can be switched out for broken versions.
