Slosh's porch is has more personality and more interesting props, but I already used the hell out of it, so it will be nice to have an alternative.
Since Stonemason's is all white it shouldn't be too hard to add it some color. With some kitbashing I'll be able to make it into an autumn or Halloween porch–something I have regular need for.

Stuff I like from today's releses are a couple of normal clothes. One Piece Outfit and the Hunter Outfit. And those Planterly Plushies are irresistible.
My struggle with the Planterly Plushies is that I don't think they're relevant to the kind of art I tend to do, but I desperately want them for my actual house.

It's nice to see something for G9 that is equally weighted for both female presenting and male presenting characters. Plus the textures and the effects, good value for price.

123 Texture, Height, Normal, and Roughness Maps (8192 x 8192) and 4 installation files. This must be huge.

I gripe a lot about Daz prices, but I think the Texture Booster is going to be an exception to that. No, I would not have paid the thirty dollars list, but I'd have gladly paid the eighteen at today's base 40% off, and getting it for about ten-and-a-half was gravy. (Synergistic discounts, plus tokens.)
I suspect this thing is going to take a while to sit down with and learn how to use properly, but it looks like it is an extremely powerful tool and includes several things I couldn't do nearly as fast or as easily by manually futzing with skin surface sliders, and a few things I couldn't do at all (e.g. convert to a different shader, though I'm not sure I'll use that aspect of it very much).
I have also noticed that the latest CB characters have been incredible. This one is one of the best looking character models I have ever seen. This image sold it as an instant buy. I would love to produce an image like this!
Today's Star Trek "inspired" uniforms and sets are interesting. I'd be into the uniforms if the pants and crotch weren't so baggy and saggy.
But it's also for Genesis 9, which is expected, but the male figure shape is too limiting for me with what's currently available.

According to the readme you don't need all of the listed products, just 1 or 2. This product will work with all of them.
Right, but you will only have access to the components of the required products that you own. The product page says * Please note that each set requires the related product, but you do not need all sets if you only have 1 or 2 that you own and want to use." (emphasis added)
If you only own Hazel Jewelry, for example, you won't have access to the Valentines shapes or Emily shapes or Gemma shapes to build earrings with. So, you won't get everything shown in the main promo pic. I'm not saying the product is misleading, because it is spelled out clearly in the required products list and the product page description. It is just that people need to pay attention to that information and not just look at the main promo and add to cart without realizing what the product really is. It is a clever way of expanding and adding value to existing products for a modest price.
Some nice things out new today I think - love LOVE the 'Like a Painting' vignette, and the Victorian desk (although that one is quite, quite expensive for a prop I feel - getting it anway, have some tokens left). Alternative key item also looks useful. Waaaayyy nicer day for me than most of the week before
You just listed two of three that stood out to me. I want that desk for my home. Cubby holes!!! I love it. But I can only imagine the skill and time it took to create the 3D version of that desk for us and to have it offered at $14.38 before any other discounts beyond the starting 40% discount?! Right now, before tokens it is down to 60% off with the Painting Vignette. I also was struck by ES3D Sam for G9. Nice, normal pair of characters to add to my runtime.
I think full list price for https://www.daz3d.com/victorian-desk-and-chair is still fair. A highly detailed two piece set with 67 moving parts? When I think about the hours - more likely days - that went into making that, it's worth it, and that's not factoring in how long it has taken the creator to get to this level or the cost of their equipment.
The expectation has been created that there will be new items for purchase here every day, and they will be priced at an introductory discount. The quality of goods has also (mainly) risen higher in the years since Michael and Victoria 2. I don't feel it's reasonable anymore to expect every box to be checked anymore - something new you want to purchase, that's also great quality and cheap. That's rarely acheivable in the real world, either. Personally, I'm willing to pay for quality.
If it's not one's budget, that's understandable but it's a separate issue that's not reflective of the quality of the product.
I completely skipped it this morning because I wasn't paying that for something labelled as a desk and a chair. Your post encouraged me to have a look. It's not a desk; it's a bureau. Completely different thing and a very nicely executed product. It matches perfectly the bureau that one of my characters uses.
I surely didn't mean to say anything derogatory about that lovely Victorian desk / bureau - sorry if it came across like that! Yes, I meant 'expensive for me personally, at this point in time'. it's such a specialized item that I cannot use it for many different purposes. But like others here, I just saw the amazing quality as well and wanted to encourage this sort of creativity by buying on first day (which I did already). Also also, I couldn't live with the possibility of it somehow being withdrawn from the store for some reason, as we've seen happening, and then slipping my greedy grasp forever ...

I've wanted a Wooton desk ever since I ran into an article about them in Fine Woodworking several decades back - even though I don't have the room for one. So this one is an instant buy!

Admittedly I only got this to unlock some other discounts. But now that I have it I want to point out something.
This item is designed for the feminine shape, and I don't expect every G9 garment to be unisex. But this particular item could have been unisex with just a little more thought, and it's such a missed opportunity.
The black and navy colourways are fairly unisex already, and it's really just the belt that makes it feminine. Luckily the belt is its own material zone and can be easily disabled. But the area of the romper underneath the belt isn't textured properly, which is what I'm bummed out about. There's odd splotches and the zipper is interrupted.
Putting in a little bit of extra effort to texture that area would have made this garment not just unisex but also generally more versatile.
(The white and baby blue colourways are properly textured in the area underneath the belt but they have other details that makes it more feminine.)
Here's my own efforts with Photoshop... it's not perfect because I'm not a pro, and I wish the creators had made that little bit of extra effort themselves.
(ETA: I updated the 2nd picture after realising some mistakes I had made with the material settings, but the point of this entire post stands.)
Ooh, I like that, Hylas. Now I almost wish I bought that outfit. I wonder if you could edit the texture files themselves. I've done stuff like that before. The cloning stamp should do the job.
that's what i did in the 2nd picture, the zipper is now fixed and the weird splotches around the waist are gone-ish, compared to the 1st picture. I guess the effect is real subtle XD
