    I really like the various renders. Sure wish it worked on the Mac again.

    @Sandy: Nice looking terrains.

    @David: I never tire of watching and listening to your videos. While the subject mater may not be needed at the moment, it will come in handy some day. Real nice watering can image.

    @Dave: Nice pose and lighting on that figure.

    @Roland: Your new ring looks nice.

    Roland

    I prefer 1 and 2 although they all look nice. They would also look good as a headband for a figure if they enlarge without too much distortion and then used as a thought amplifier in a fantasy/sci-fi tyrant queen scene. I can just imagine the cone of light coming from the jewel and the victim writhing in agony on the floor in the middle of the light. I know, I should get out more:)

    It is basically always the same ring. My goal is to model a particularly nice ring. The images show the individual steps, which the ring passes during the modeling, and the result should be a special ring.

    Rareth...I'm so jealous, and great shot (it wasn't visible from my part of the world).

    Putting Horo's beautiful Small World 1 HDRI through its paces. First render is standard the second is Premium (taking about five minutes) note there are some dark fireflies in there, I will do a video at some point on how to "fix" those, since it is an issue I run into regularly when rendering TA with mesh objects.

    @Roland4 - ring progresses nicely.

    @David - looks great. The grass patches help.

    There are strange things in the forest if you keep your eyes open. Believe it or not (don't), the Gremlin on the balcony of his Sweet Home waved at me. Nice chap, really.
    Here's the GreenPath HDRI using a bush from the Vegetation, the Old Shoe House and a Gremlin. This is rendered with natural light. HDRI quality 128 and DOF, premium at 144 rpp.

    Well, I think that the ring is now finished. The ring can not shoot light cones.

    @David: The change in the first image now make it look like a photo. The second image also looks like a photo but one where the camera aperture was opened too wide. Great looking images and I look forward to the video fixing the black fireflies.

    @Roland: Those silver rings really catch my eye, they're really nice. Just a suggestion, since you have a lighter material for the ring body, it might look better to have slightly darker center stones. The light hitting the ring base seems to wash out those stones since they themselves are light in color. Regardless, you're doing terrific work with those rings.

    @Horo: That's a very cute image, and believable in a lost tot way.

    @Jay: Love that car image. Material used on the ground plane is crazy super.

    @Tim Bateman: Lovely image. Very peaceful looking.

    This thread is moving too fast, hard to keep up. Beautiful renders from everyone

    David- I love your videos and never get tired of watching them over and over again, keep them coming. :)

    Dave-love the gnome

    Experimenting on lighting based on a few of David’s tutorials on lighting using IBL lighting –

    The first set the first is a regular render – 6 mins. The second TA RPP 256 –3 hours 9mins.

    The second set, the first is a regular render – 5.5 mins. The second TA RPP 256 –2 hours 45mins, because it’s an experiment I left all the other settings the same. I don’t see much difference in the renders.

    Edited: the images to not appear in order, the 1st image is the premium render of the last image which is the regular render. ;)
