    Such great renders. Lovin' all the cars. @DaveSavage: Did you model the guitar or find it online? I've been thinking about doing some guitar renders, specifically strats, Les Pauls, and Gretschs.

    It's one I got from online. Chohole originally gave me the link to it so maybe she can dig it out again.
    I had to do quite a lot of work on it in Bryce though to get the Bigsby right and remap most of the UV's.

    I've got several versions of it in Bryce now. This one being my favourite.

    Fantastic Guitar posters/ads Dave. Really can't tell they're not photographs. :coolsmile:

    @Jamahoney: That is a fantastic render!

    @Horo: I made myself not quite clear, I have used the "low res rounded cube 3%" to model my chest of drawers. :-)

    @Roland: Several really nice new shapes, especially the rings. The one shape on its side seems to be missing a candle.

    @Rareth: Cars looks very nice. I like the results of the first dragon image, but the other looks nice too.

    @hansmar: Wicked looking abstract, nicely done.

    @Dave: Nice touch adding the guitar along with the PT Cruiser. Other guitars are extremely nice.

    @Tim Bateman: Great looking terrain, and car.

    @electro: Chests look awfully nice.

    @David: Shape turned out well, though it sure takes a lot of steps to get there.

    @Jay: Wonderful looking window. I first thought it was a photo; the wall material gave it away.

    @Art: Image with the twisted shapes is terrific. Looks like lots of rain has fallen, which we could use.

    @Rareth - thanks for explaining the difference.

    @Jay - that's a great window and the title fits nicely.

    @Art - cool shapes.

    @Dave - those guitars are really photo-realistically beautiful.

    @Horo

    Thank you for your effort. When I look at the result and reading your explanations, then I must confess that I have to learn a lot as far about the 3D Lightning & Rendering, especially in Bryce. Thank you for your valuable help. Render time with your settings on my laptop is 3 Sek.

    Awesome guitar renders, Dave! Chet had a huge influence on me and was one of the main reasons I picked up a guitar. If chohole can't find the link, I'll certainly google it or maybe try to model one of my own.

    Nice "menu options" there, Sandy!

    Roland4: I like the new ring. Great work.

    The ring was mine, illuminated is the scene from Horo. Without him, the ring would not look so good.

    Chet was a genius guitar player. Though my choice of Gretsch as my guitar of choice was more down to Eddie Cochran and Brian Setzer

    This is my own real gretsch:

    Nice render Dave, which hair model is that?

    BTW I am racking my brains as to where I found the guitar link for you. I think it may be this one

    Did a bit of digging around, the guitar model comes from this site Fencepost: http://www.3dpmr.com

    You have to sign up but it's free and the model is free.

    Then click FREE STUFF and it's under Props on Page 20.

    Hope this helps.

    That's better than my link, as it's poser ready, whereas the link I found is for a lightwave obj.

    Is that hair real? I have very little left myself, so put that question down to follicle envy.

    I asked Horo a while back about getting some HDRI's a bit closer to the ground. Here's a little test render with one of these, Tunnelway-B_3840.hdr and a couple of models I made in Modo.

    This thread is moving so quickly page 12 already.

    Beautiful work from everyone, landscapes, stacked terrains, abstracts, and amazing objects and furniture modeled in Hexagon and Blender, pencil sketches, and car renders, Toon Aliens and snakes, wow such a variety and all stunning and inspiring.

    David – thanks for the new tutorials.

    Roland – I’m inspired by your objects to try either blender or hexagon which would you suggest, I mean which is easier.

    I played with metaballs for a few days and came up with this abstract. The renders show the original, the 2nd using the Gwl and the 3rd the Ewl lens from the Lens and Filter pack.

    Elvis...thanks.

    Guss...yes, the walll mat may be a give-a-way

    Fishtales...hehe...reminds of the Jurassic Park movie.

    Thanks again, as usual, Horo ;)

    Please remember that simpler is not always better ! All that you can not is difficult. If you have learnd it, it is easy.

    But most of all, learn to use various tools for modeling. Each tool has its advantages.

    I made this pendant up in Bryce using primitives and made my own texture, it is Aqua Aura which is gold bonded to quartz at high temperature, because I couldn't find one to match :-)

    I then did this spinning animation. It says DAZ Studio but I am sure I did it in Bryce :roll:

    I already posted this in the animation forum so you have probably seen it.

    Nice...'One to rule them ALL?'...ah...Tolkien - master or the imaginative.
    Fishtales...reminds me of a Quartz crystal I found one time during a geology field trip...nice work.

    Indeed it is... It did used to be a lot bigger in the olden days.

    @Roland: Gems look nice, except the first on is on the bright side. Ring really looks nice.

    @David: That's quite a scene, and a good looking bird bath. Only when did you discover levitation? That cube is floating above the water edge.

    @mermaid: Like those abstracts, especially the middle one.

    @Sandy: Great looking pendant and animation.
