It converts the bracelets, necklace and earrings properly, but it's not working on the rings and I can't figure out why. I watch the process and with the rings, G8F doesn't move into the G3 default position, like it does with the necklace, and earrings and bracelets, so I don't know if that means anything? But when it's finished, the rings load up in the air, where G3F's hands usually are (the T pose), and not on G8F's hand, even tho they are parented when I load them.

No, it doesn't. But if I can't access the cloud files from the 'browse to folder location' option, there is something wrong regardless.
It seems to convert OK. The poses appear in the designated output folder and work if I open them directly from their folder - but nothing gets added to Smart Content. I can't work out what I'm doing wrong.
I've tried converting to: D:\Daz 3D\Studio\DazContentDriveD\People\Genesis 8 Female\Poses (DazContentDriveD is where all my content is)
I've tried making a new folder: D:\Daz 3D\Studio\DazContentDriveD\Poses Converted from Genesis 3 Female
(I've tried a few other less likely options too)
Any advice as to what I'm doing wrong would be great! Why is there no output in Smart Content (which is the main thing I want from this product)?

Are you sure they are not showing up in Smart Content (Files tab)? The converted items will not show up in Smart Content Products tab as they are not part of a product.
For my examples below, I am using Props and Poses Converter from Genesis 8 Female to Genesis 3 Female but all the RiverSoftArt Props & Poses converters should work in a similar fashion.
Please note that the manual says that items without metadata will not show up in Smart Content. If the items you would like to convert do show in smart content, then follow along here...
@JamieM First, make sure your "Output Directory" location is correct. For example, I also use an external drive and my poses ouput directory is:
My DAZ EXT Library --> People --> Genesis 3 Female --> Poses --> G8F-to-G3F_Converted-Poses
- and -
My props output directory is:
My DAZ EXT Library --> People --> Props --> G8F-to-G3F_Converted-Props
In other words, you should add a converted folder inside the Poses folder or inside the Props folder if you are converting props, as smart content will pull from these folders, since your external library is mapped in Daz Studio preferences.
NOTE: After I converted some props, I thought they did not show up in Smart Content, but upon closer inspeciton, I noticed that they did show up, but the character version name (ex. G8F) did not change (apparently the conversion script saves the new file with the exact same name).
For example, in my Smart-Content-01 attachment, the highlighted image, Z POL 33 G8F Handcuffs.duf is actually the converted G3F version, but the name did not update. You will notice this converted pose says, "Pose" in the top-right corner, while the next pose in my smart content folder has the exact same product name, but says, "H.Pose" in the top-right corner (that is the original G8F pose).
To fix the name in Smart Content...
Right-Click on the converted Pose with the wrong name and select Show Asset in --> Content Library --> Mapped Folder
Now in the content library with the product selected, if you hover over it, the pop-up will show File Path, which should point to your output directory (G8F-to-G3F_Converted-Poses in my case)
Now, right-click on the thumbnail and choose: Rename
Simply change G8F to G3F (or vice-versa if you were converting G3F to G8F).
Go back to your Smart Content tab and the converted thumbnail name still hasn't changed.
Right-Click on the Poses category and choose: Refresh
You will see the thumbnail Pose in smart content now has the new name, G3F in my case.

@RiverSoftArt I love your Daz utility products... they are some of the most useful!
@JamieM Glad to hear you were able to get a solution!
The only weird thing that happened one-time was when I tried to convert a pose after creating a new empty scene with the 2 base characters. The script ran but did not convert the pose. I then selected both characters in the scene tab and ran the script again and it worked. I guess it was a fluke, since it only happened once.
By the way, is there a way that your script could save the converted prop or pose with a revised name (changing G8F to G3F or vice-versa), or is it best to Renamethe converted item as I did in the above image steps?
For example: changing the original pose: Z POL 33 G8F Handcuffs.duf
To the converted pose: Z POL 33 G3F Handcuffs.duf

Comments
I've run into a bit of a problem, trying to convert some G3F rings to G8F.
It's this product here if that helps:
https://www.daz3d.com/es-sphaerae-jewelry-vol-1-for-genesis-3-female-s
It converts the bracelets, necklace and earrings properly, but it's not working on the rings and I can't figure out why. I watch the process and with the rings, G8F doesn't move into the G3 default position, like it does with the necklace, and earrings and bracelets, so I don't know if that means anything? But when it's finished, the rings load up in the air, where G3F's hands usually are (the T pose), and not on G8F's hand, even tho they are parented when I load them.
Anyone have any ideas?
I don't have that one, but it does sound like the issue is not moving the pose (or it is the symptom more likely). I can try and look at the log to see if something is showing up there. My questions is what body part do the rings load on?
