IMO, I believe it gives more realistic results except when the focal point is too close to the eyes. But that is why it is an option, you can do what seems right to you
Really? Interesting! Honestly I always turn it off by default. I'll try that out to see. Thanks.
The current Look At Me is my single most used script and resulted in me buying several others of your scripts. It's not a lie to say it helped my scenes immensely. Now my characters actually look at each other when talking, for example, and it feels like something that should have been standard in Daz Studio. I'll be snagging this the moment it comes out!
just so you know, riversoftarts:
the original 'look at me pose control' product doesn't seem to be showing up in your storefront or in store search results thismorning. there's no longer a link to the product page in the product library readme. and the link google search gives me for the product 404s.
could be something got lost in the shuffle while daz was getting the new 'look at me' ready to roll out?

Does the new one do everything that the old one currently does, so that I will only need the new one once I own it? This looks like a nice enhancement.
Thank you! I am glad you like it, and thanks for the support.
Thanks for letting me know. My guess is that Daz has pulled it in preparation for the forthcoming new version so that people don't buy the old one.
Yes, you will only need the new one. The new one can do the head/neck and eyes only that the first one did, as well as adding the ability to add the chest and abdomen into the pose.
It must be coming soon, then. Thanks for the answer to my question, too.
Got a banner offering me a discount but the item isn’t showing up.....yet. Looking forward to this version as I use the other one all the time,
Loved the promo meme: and thanks for the discount.
Does the old one offer anything that the new one doesn't?
It is in the store: https://www.daz3d.com/look-at-me-ii-pose-control
No, it doesn't. The head/neck is calculated *very* slightly differently in the new one but not in any way that is noticable.
Yup. There should be a very good discount banner for owners of the first one.
Beat me to it!
How does it work when...nevermind...gonna buy it.
LOL.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Oh yeah, this was an instabuy! Thanks for the new release -- aside from Lighting Designer the older version was my most used product.
I just wanted to say 'Thank You' for the discount!!! I've read posts which seemingly implies that the FINAL say-so is from Daz, but I imagine it STARTS with the vendor pitching the discount. You have ALWAYS taken good care of us customers; the discount is just another example. Thanks to you (and SY) for such great and useful products!!!! - Ray
I'm confused!!! This morning I had a strange thing happen with the original Look At Me Pose Control. Does the new IK chain stuff in DS 4.12 interact with Look At Me Pose Control? I chose to move just the eyes and eyelids of the new Daz House Cat and the head and neck moved, too! I admit I know nothing about IK chains, but the cat comes with them. How can I control just the eyes when using the cat in DS 4.12? When I buy and install the new version of Look At Me Pose Control, will that let me control just the eyes again? In the attached image, I overlayed the before and after screenshots in Photoshop to show you what happened.
Edit: I tried the cat in DS 4.11 and the same thing happened. I don't think it has anything to do with DS 4.12 or IK chains. I'm puzzled. If I use Pose Controls to move the cat eyes side to side or up down, the head and neck doesn't move like it does with Look at Me.
Edit again: Even if I set all sliders to 0 and uncheck all boxes, Look at Me moves the head and neck. I am very confused. Maybe there is something strange about this pose that I used from the housecat product.
Looking forward to using this! I’ve had some trouble with Daz Dragon eyes lining up right, hoping this functions better for it.
Used it on Baby Barry - https://www.daz3d.com/baby-barry
This model does not have chest and abdomen, but it looks funny to me...
Instabuy!
Thank you, this is another time saver, and I'm using it alternating with the first one (probably out of habit, but if you just want to move the head/neck, you don't have to set the Chest/Abdomen controls back to zero), depending on what kind of movement I need.
I have used the script on Bad Birdy - https://www.daz3d.com/bad-birdy-2-0
The old script did not detected the head on him at all, so it is a big improvement.
Very well done, RiverSoftArt, and thank you for making these scripts happen.
Was hoped, that Mister Mushroom will work with the script too, but it didn't.
Mister Mushroom is just a prop with the morphs, very cool, though.

Thanks.
You're welcome!
Huh. Well, let me know if it happens with the new one. It should not do that. If it does, I will have to buy the house cat and figure out what is going on.
The old look at me should have worked with Dragon 3. Please let me know if there are issues.
