HR2 files are supposed to work with it just FYI. Sayuri hair is one of them that does not convert , one of many ! Also Kelp Hair , Adhafera , Lotus Hair , Cece Veil Hair , Fox Hair , Alrisha......
Okay I have Adhafera ,Kelp and CeCe Veil Hair and they converted fine ,@Timotheus those are from Rendo and I don't have them to test .
But again I am doing "Add Files and converting only 2 or 3 at a time and changing the conformer to match the hair ,and so far they are all converting ....
@3anson Okay lemme see if I have any of SAV's hairs , yup I have 2 and one thing is SAV has both a Cr2 and a prop the Cr2 coverts fine here is Aphana Hair by SAV
Wow! A lot of messages. I apologize if I don't address any. The metadata for V4 hair is... poor. A LOT of the hair, you will have to select (not just checkmark) and use the Force Convert button. The regular Convert button looks at the metadata. When the metadata is poor, you will see the SKIPPING "" file message. Between the quotes should be the metadata the script sees. If nothing is there, or weird stuff like wardrobe, the regular convert button will skip it.
If after adding, force convert doesn't work (or you can't add even using "Add Files..." with the Check Content Type option off), please repost.
Apparently with 4.11 anytime I try to save a morph or anything it now fails, is there a way without reinstalling poser to transfer the fit morph for v4 to the converted hair?
@RiverSoftArt 95% of the .hr2 files i tried converted successfully, and the bonus was most were also 'non-attended' ( ie, the weightmap choice widget rarely popped up)

Edit : Figured it out :)
What was the issue?
Somehow the authorship information in preferences for changes to a bunch of wacky symbols so once I went and changed that it let me save stuff again, how it happened I have no clue though lol

I went back through and double-checked my settings very carefully. Could have sworn I had disabled Check Content Type, but I had not. Now that I can add files to the list, Force Convert works. Thanks for another great converter!
I tried loading it into your script and it couldn't find the hair's cr2 file. It returned an error telling me no hair files could be found.
Your PDF says the converter needs a Charadcter or Hair directory in the path. The Violet hair already has a default Character directory. I tried creating a Hair directory and moved the hair there but no dice. Trying to add the directtory path and/or cr2 file both report an error claiming no hair files were detected.
I examined the Options tab in your script and everything relevant is checked.

Oh, and HR2 files should work too (though I won't guarantee all of them)

okies, another PA gave me the tip to select the actual hair file, instead of the wrapping folder, and that has worked 90% of the time for me.
i have now successfully converted some of my favourite V4 hairs, iz a happy bunny now!
( btw, i use *Force Convert* all the time after using the various converters for a while :)) )

With The Exception Of The Conversion Morphs,The Other Morphs That Come With The Hairs Do Not Show Up.

I am glad it is working now for you.
I did like that about the hr2 files
That is strange. They should be transferring.

Huh. Another upgrade issue I guess.

Unless there's a solution to the problem outlined below, I blew $13 on a product that is now useless to me.
There is only one V4 hair in my collection that I have any interest in converting: https://www.daz3d.com/violet-hair-for-v4
I tried loading it into your script and it couldn't find the hair's cr2 file. It returned an error telling me no hair files could be found.

Quick trial, it’s V3 hair and clothes
