For all people who download and update the ASE. When the DIM comes out. Do update ASE in DIM also. This way you will have the files register. For those later dates if you need to reinstall or remove.

Thank you for continuing to update and improve the fabulous product! Here is my render contribution. I rendered "without ASE" image for comparison. The character is 50% Leisa 8 and 50% Charlotte 8. The pose is from Fashion Editorial Poses with a slight modification to the pose of the hand near her face.

    With Auto Shape Enhancer

    With ASE

    Without Auto Shape Enhancer

    Without ASE

These are the settings I chose to use:

Leisa 50% Charlotte 50% FEP 107 Auto Shape Enhancer ON.jpg
    2000 x 2600 - 3M
    Leisa 50% Charlotte 50% FEP 107 ASE OFF.jpg
    2000 x 2600 - 3M

I have sent in the update for Male and Female today. I have added more detailed skin HD wrinkles on the bent joints.

Updated the Rib to HD - to see them you must be in SubD 2-3

Fix a few areas like the twist on the shin and upper shoder for the female.

ASE now looking even better. Can anyone do a demo? Just a bit more detail than I did here.

I'm not clear about what you are asking for, as far as someone doing a demo.

screen captures what you doing. Playing around with the ASE to showcase what it does. Bend a knee! Show the wrinkles. Try out some animation. I build it for animation. I don't have time to touch on any animation until a late-later date. I like to do a fight scene for fun as soon as I finish this Muscle for Her.

The still images sample here, I have used them as new promo images. Thank you.

Hey, DMaster, do you think this product would interfere with the crease, bend, and fold morphs from Zeddicus?

    P.S. Looks great!

No. It can only enhance the shape and details of the character. It is a tool that you can use.

I use Auto Shape Enhancer with Ultimate Natural Bend Morphs to make the characters look even more real.

Is like flying an airplane with 2 engine. You shift gear when working with dif size, shape in the characters.

In Daz - you can never have a tool that out weight the other. It is a tool to enhance characters. The sooner everyone learns to combine these tools for that specific character, the easier and faster you be at creating arts.

    1- load in your character

    2-load in ASE at 50%

    3 load in Zed = fold 50%

Adjust the details % to get what you want. Post your character in many difs poses to test the blend and fold. once good, save the setting for that character.

Use the master slider of both to get what you are looking for. Don't just load them at 100%

Every point or face on the geometry has a limit. ASE has morphs that push out that face or vertex, so does Zed fold.

Combined the morphs fully 100% each then the vertex or faces get to push out at 200% - if given the vertex best is to be at 100% or 180%

The best thing about Daz is you can combine morphs together.  to get you to the sweet spot that you like for your character. Each tool has dif vertex and faces positioning. It is morphing on morphs, and you can control them.

    Hope this helps you.

Which crease, bend, and fold morphs from Zeddicus? There are morphs by K. H. Image Studio: https://www.daz3d.com/ultimate-natural-bend-morphs-for-genesis-8-male

    Are there some by Zeddicus?

I don't think so. I thought it was a mistaken reference to the Zev0 morphs in Fast Grab today. Skin Folds & Creases HD for Genesis 3 & 8 Female Skin Folds & Creases HD for Genesis 3 & 8 Male

Yes, I grasp the Skin Folds and creases HD when it was 70%. It was too good to pass that up.

    Yes to: K. H. Image Studio: https://www.daz3d.com/ultimate-natural-bend-morphs-for-genesis-8-male

I don't have the male setting yet. I only have Victoria 8. Thus I have 5% of Victoria in the G8females in order to use the ultimate natural bend with ASE.

    New Update is up.

  • duckbombduckbomb Posts: 585

Hey!  I'm sorry, but I need to ask this... the new update (I didn't realize it was so new or I would have held off) broke ALL of my files pending render because of a missing ribcage morph/file here:  data/daz 3d/genesis 8/female/morphs/d.master/auto shape enhancer/rib cage.dsf

To make it worse, I can't find a morph now that does exactly what that did, which means my custom clothse to fit my character now doesn't fit right, and I either need to fix all of the files (20 of them) or I need to replace that missing file or find a morph taht does that same thing.

Please tell me that the changes inclue a ribcage morph that does the same thing?  The dial for Auto Enhancer Rib Cage right now doesnt' seem to do anything...

    What does this mean?

And did the update break the rib morph?

duckbomb has an old file on render pending. Thus he should not update when you have files on rendering queue.

The new update has the Ribcage in HD and more. I am confident that it is good.

You may see error loading files if your file like duckbomb has the action that loads the rib cage.dsf. Please just resave the files to remove error loading.

The easiest thing for duckbomb is to open the files and resave. The render queue can stay as is when the time comes for it to load will pick the same files - good as old.

I'm so sorry, I don't understand if this is a link or a reference to an older post or what... I looked through the old posts here and could not find any old ribcage morph file. There was a dropbox file you mentioned ribcage in page 2, but the link is to your dropbox and is dead.

I agree that it will be easier for me to just open and re-save, but the actual change in how the mesh is shaped is what is causing problems.  This REALLY kinda screwed me over, as I don't have the time to fix all of the fiiles in ZBrush and I had them stacked up in the render queue ready to go this weekend.

I learned my lesson about not not updating while I have renders in the queue pending to avoid this, but for right now could you re upload or at least point me to where that old morph file is?  I'll be forever indebted to you and be a "forever" customer if you can help me out with this...  thank you!

EDIT - I'm sorry if I sound despirate, I'm honestly freaking out here... I had barely enough time to get this to the client in time as it is and I simply am not able to do the necessary morph work in time on each individual file before I have to be done with this... thank you for taking the time to answer me, I hope I'm not screwed.

I don't see a problem. I loaded an old scene with G8F that used the rib cage and the abs morphs and they didn't complain about a missing file. I did the same for G8M and that old file opened OK, too. Does that mean I don't have the right (new) files (screenshot attached). I updated from DIM.

I have the April 12 zip file update saved, but of course I cannot share it without D. Master's permission. But in case he no longer has the file you need and he gives me permission to share it with you, I can. I'll check back later to see what the status is. I hope he has the file you need.

OH my goodness, ok, awesome, I totally understand, I'll be standing by as well!  I think I learned an immensly valuable lesson about making backups and (most importantly) not updating critical files when I'm in crunch time at the end of a 40 page comic LOL.  I really appreciate you mentioning this, so at least I'm not constantly freaking, I completely understand needing to wait until either permission or until D. Master's response!

Did you update in DIM? It Is newer. if you get the error after install. Please help out duckbomb.

if no error, it just means in your scene it did not activate the ribcage morphs. So the files do not have a rib cage.duf activated in it. so opening it will not give an error.

Now bend the chest and see what it does. turn on SubD_4 to see. if you save the file now. This file will have the chest ribcage morphs.

duckbomb Go to the first page of this forum. you will see the old ribcage file.

The image here (made with the old file looks like it has ribcage morph. The Parameters pane shows ribcage morph dialed in. Yet it opens fine now after updating. I'm still perplexed.

Do you have the file duckbomb needs, or do I have permission to give him the download I saved from April 12? I don't see any working link to that file now.

The DIM install is newer than the one you tested.

Yes, you can share the April 12 file, this was the test file for the DIM. I believe he is looking for the old Ribcage. Which is on page 1 in this forum.
