I found them.. well they are in FRENCH! The english ones should be here somewhere...
I copies the ending from the english page, seems that the ones in english have _dta however for the first video with audio all I got was a 13k file but it had text of video codecs but the french version is 3+ megs.
This will provide the videos even if the speech is french.

DownTHemAll! for Firefox is my friend
***** IGNORE THIS **********
yeah even the online links are no go

we should submit a bug. I might have the files backed up on CD but I will have to do some digging. I downloaded them all at one point because it was in one big archive and you put it in the folder with the PDF and they played by clicking
** EDIT EASIER WAY NEXT POST **
Woot copy the _dta version of the file you had download by coping link and adding the _dta (or the matching link from the above post) and if you play on actual quick time player, not VLC then apparently the _dta has a reference to the video in the other file but plays the audio from the _dta version.
1. Find version with French Audio
2. Copy link
3. Paste into a new Tab/Page (do not press enter or go)
4. Find the same file on the english page, and view what the file name is most appear to be the same with _dta stuck before .move
5 Chage the filename to add the _dta
6. press return which should download
7. put in same directory as the other 118 files you downloaded.
8 Load Quicktime, drag the DTA file to quicktime.
9 Video plays and hopefully if there is audio it should be english
If this is confusing. SOrry its late and I am tired. Anyone feel free to clarify this LOL
French and all the videos here http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/hexagon/2/videos/start
English here http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/tutorials/hexagon/hexvt_english
Okay there were quiet a few. So I found a simpler way.
Go to http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/hexagon/2/videos/start
After you download all the videos (I use DownThemAll! in Firefox) makes it a couple of clicks just select video files.
Save As to your HD (this saves the HTML so we can do the next step)
Open in an editor that doesn't insert code, I use NOtepad++ or EditPad or even Notepad should work.
Do a Find / Replace
FIND: .mov
REPLACE: _dta.mov
Replace all and save.
Open the page we saved in your browser, Do the same as before either clicking each file that has audio and saving (or using DownThemAll! it will error on the files that have no _dta so thats perfect)
Sorry about the multiple posts, I should have caught that on the first one.
Thanks, Milo! These videos even without English soundtracks were of great use for me.
Glad they could help! I hope my instructions on how to get the English ones weren't too bad.

Would be nice if they could play in VLC but back when they made them bandwidth was so expensive I would imagine, so that was a clever space saving measure..
I'm not certain if it is an issue for anyone, if Geek-at-Play seems to have their tuts on YouTube anyway, but the link posted at the beginning of the thread is broken. Here's an updated link if anyone is interested in accessing the tutorials on their site:
http://www.geekatplay.com/hexagon.php
They're here:
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/hexagon/2/userguide/start
You have to download the ZIP file to get them.

Can some moderator or something edit the sticky. Half the tutorials listed don't work. Very frustrating to come to the source of the program to find a bunch of 404 pages.
SAL UK posted a link to the original Hexagon Tutorials

I've been trying to find a certain ytube vid. The guy was using a tool to attach petals to a flower. When he finished and smoothed it out I think it was a chrysanthemum. I always saw it when I searched ytube for Hex vids and never bothered to bookmark because it always showed up in every search.
....but now I can't find it :red:
This one maybe?

Part of a set of three I think
Thank you so much! Its similar to what I was looking for. It did mention the tool that was used in the other tut which was the copy on support. Now that I had the name of the tool I was able to find what I was looking for. I missed it because the thumbnail isn't what I remember. They both contain the info I wanted. :-)

I remember Gary Miller did a tutorial where he used Illistrator to make a city, maybe it will show you what you want to know -
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial to make a "mannequin"/dummy to use in hexagon, which I can model clothes on... Obviously :P
I've been looking myself, but they're old and/or don't work anymore,
Thanks :)
If you have Daz Studio all you have to do is load in Gen3Female (or other character), do not move it. Then export it as an obj file, the settings in the screen grab means it will not load in any materials so you will need to give it a colour in Hex and save it. I normally save these as obj's and HXN files.
Thank you :)
Can someone please help me make my hexagon look like johnnybevo does. I'm tryiing to follow his tuts but his things look a little different.
For example his viewport background is a dark grey with white lines. It would help me a lot if I could get all my color options like his, I don't kow what all he changed.
Johnny B. used the "Preferences Editor" to change his colour scheme. So you go to Edit-Preference Editor and from there you look in the "User Interface" menu and choose the "background colour". Then go into the Grid menu and change the Grid and Axis colours. You can also take things a step further by changing the colours and size of the edges, lines and the faces in the 3D Display menu. Remember, if you mess up you can reset it back to default.
Hope that helps - John
Yes that did help, Thank You!!
Another question, when I select and object it makes it translucent. Is it possible to make this stop? I don't like that, it makes it hard for me to see what I'm doing when I working on somthing and I can seethrough it. edit, I just figured it out. click a button down at the bottom left and that fixed it.
I may have this wrong, if so can you post a screen grab of Hexagon. In the bottom right hand side of the screen you will see a box with 3 icons in it (they change when you click on them) - a cube, a cylinder and an open book. If the cube is wire frame, then click on it to make it solid, this should make things solid. Also, 2 boxes to the left you'll find a series of spheres, (hover over to get type) choose smoothed solid.

Sorry it took so long to reply, and thanks for the your post, I didn't mean to derail the thread too much I just wanted my viewport to look like the ones I'm seeing in the tuts so it could help me learn, I thought it best to post here rather than start another thread. Here is the screenshot of the thing I clicked on that fixed the tranclusent problem I had. there is only one more thing I want to lean to do and I can't find the answer because I don't know the name of the operation, I could explain; but should probally open up my own thread right?
Glad you got it to work. Feel free to start a new thread, the people here are very helpful.
I'm more into painting textures, and want to use Hexagon mostly for 3d painting, there are not many tuts on youtube. I'm not doing well.
