    grrrr nothing is ever easy

I used Adobe Autorigger on him and it won't import back into Carrara

it imported into iClone 3Dxchange but he lost all his shading domains

I might try PoserPro11 on my other PC later

    video

rendered in Carrara after re-export so might be FBX year

  • how cool is that wendy yes

I am disappointed the Mixamo FBX did not import though so I needed iClone

if it had I could have shared all the steps for you and everyone else

Poser failed to import the mesh too

Wendy, would importing it into DAZ Studio work ? Then you could save it as a DUF file, just wondering ?

I tried the Mixamo site to see what it's all about. Tried exporting FBX to Studio - yuk result.

Out of curiosity I tried exporting the download from Mixamo as an FBX - Unity, and it worked !

    its a handy little tool

I mostly go to iClone first and it used to load straight in Carrara last time I tried, maybe I used the Unity settings or they recently added a later FBX

because it also worked in Poser before

glad it is still useable afterall

I modeled this fella up today starting with a sphere smiley enlightened

a sorta cross between a koala a bird and a dog/foxy thing with running shoes

with a tee ... not boned but maybe a kickstart to be improved upon ~ all in the zip file

a Mascot for Carrara ~ I named this fella MasCarra surprise

an idea from a post found here  the model can be found there as well

MasCarra looks like a LOT of fun.  Can't wait to play around.

Test 1 - Adding a Morph to Share

I made the whole figure a single morph area.  I added a new morph to open the mouth.

The test is to see if the morphed version works for others when shared.

Kids today will probably think that's some kind of antenna!  laugh  Even the wooden clothespin is alien to them.  Well, maybe not as a craft thing.  Same for the springy ones.

If Ocker Lorenzo swings on the hoist it might put a permanent lean to one side !

maybe have to add a bend morph to it lol ... we still have one and it's pretty straight still though the grandkids are getting taller so won't be long!  devil

Wow, I haven't seen clothes pins like that a loooong time. Very cool.

if anyone tries the hair zip, it looks empty when you load it, but appears when you drag it onto MasCarra. No idea why, lol.
