If I'm understanding this correctly, it will be a great help when moving morphs up through generations yes?

  • SorelSorel Posts: 1,395

    if moving multiple morphs, yes

Insta-bought! Yes, this is brilliant! I'm wondering how well it will transfer JCM/pose morphs and the like from say; G3-->G8? As I love using K.H. Image Studio's Ultimate Bend Morphs with my V7 figure but would love to transfer them over to V8, or better yet make my own!

    This plugin sounds truly interesting!

Just a question: It can be a nice replacement for the still missing GenX2 for G8 M/F? I mean, it can help doing such converisions?

To clarify this is not a morph conversion/transfer product. That aspect you have to do on your own. This products main function is to make sure all morphs you have made, imported or converted onto your figure are rigged properly, as well as saved correctly. So if you import like 50 morphs onto your figure, this product will make sure all morphs are rigged and all bones are grouped and alligned correctly and will also allow you to specify where you want them saved on the figure. It can also be used for single morph imports, saving you time having to rig, erc freeze and make sure right bone groups are selected etc.

Great, thanks for clarifying! This will definitely allow for generation 5 characters to be better rigged for generation 8 such as the freak 5 to be used on V8/M8! So I am able to dump the entire generation 5/6 character morphs to generation 8! Yep, insta-bought!

I think this is going to be a "must buy" for most 3D content creators. :)

What's the ETA on this? lol I'm chomping at the bit! heheh

So then I could even transfer Joe Quick's Genesis characters, Baby for Genesis, and quite a few other unfrequent character genres to Genesis 8 and then use this product to correct the rigging is what I seem to understand, although I'm not sure why the DAZ Studio Transfer Utility and Morph Loader Pro doesn't handle that. At any rate this is a good deal if it fixes those problems and it works.

  • I see it's been a few months... par for the course with any product dev, but I am curious if we'll be seeing this product anytime in the near future.

I can't tell you how much I've been dragging my feet, putting off any large morph transfers. When this utility comes out, it'll be a god-send!

We are still finalizing it. SkinBuilder 8 delayed a lot of other projects.

I know it says Genesis only, but "could" it work on something like taking BEO2K10 and updating it to a G8 skeleton?

  • nonesuch00nonesuch00 Posts: 18,131

I would like to be able to transfer RawArt's Toon Chimp up to Genesis 8 and fix the rigging with that. Also the Mouse, the Mole, and a few other characters.

    Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! (Cit.)
Absolutely! I would pay thrice it price if it can allow me to fix G8 rigging and IKs!

Does this do a separate pass for inner squints, which always seem to get screwed otherwise?

  • Zev0Zev0 Posts: 7,089

Yes it does. Even have a promo just for that.

Very nice job. Snatching this up for sure. Hmmm, This means more time aside for making morphs. Cool!

That demo looks good for sure. One question Zevo? Have spent the week on a character and found I had to rig a geograft as a geograft in relation to the figure morphs. I am sure you know the process, so the short is obviously, will this take on the geograft demand also? I am guessing it will be the case. But just to be sure-to-be-sure.

    (edited: added question)

Hi. We custom built this script to handle the complexities of each Genesis figure. We can't fully support non-Genesis figures, not even geo-grafts, but we have a fallback that will try to do its best. The reason we cannot fully support geografts is because people often make custom bones, and there no way to find a universal fullproof method at this time for that, so best we can do is a generic rig for those. So short answer is yes, geografts can be rigged, long answer is we cannot guarentee it's accuracy. We will add this feature in a future update once we test this aspect fully. We have a beta version but dont feel comfortable releasing it just yet. Will do so in an update, along with other features.
