The butterflies look great and the animation renders very quickly.  Thank you for providing the product.

    A personal request.....

Would you consider offering a school of small fish for underwater scenes?

Good idea @DadofMany. That should be relatively simple to do, now that I have done the butterflies.

Thank you.  This is great news.

In the meantime, and back on subject.....

Please enjoy the following snippet (if the link works) that uses your iREAL Animated Ocean Water System, iREAL Animated Dust Particles & Bokeh, and iREAL Animated Butterflies and Wisps.

Had a scene in my music video that I didn't know what to do with.  Your butterflies were exactly what it needed!

Philosopher, we could really use some more of your talents!  Your ocean is wonderful!  Could you do some more animated water like streams, lakes and ponds?  How about some animated waterfalls...different sizes?  Animated water for fountains? I look forward to seeing more of your products in the future!

  • @jaebea,

More water products are definitely on my list of things to do. Your suggestions are all very good and I think they should be doable. The one I've been having most difficulty with is creating animated waves crashing on a beach front. But that's probably the most complex of all water dynamics.

There was a product out long ago called "waves on the beach" by Nerd3d.  It used to be here but is only on his site now.  http://www.nerd3d.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=101   I bought it and played with it but it was complicated and I didn't have the patience.  Don't know if it works with Daz 4.  It would be great it an easier version were available.

    Hi all,

today we buy the very nice "Animated Butterflies" content for Daz3D,
we use the newest version of Daz3D and also therefore we must buy and install aniMate2.
We try to use the content like the video tutorial from "The Philosopher" and we do this many times but no butterflies are animatetd!
    So what we do wrong?
We install the content with the Daz3D installer and select the content over "SmartContent" tab, becouse the "Probs" directory in the "ContentLibrary" tab is empty of from  this contents.

Later we deinstall the whole product and reinstall manually.
No changes, the buterflies not animated ... ,o(
Step 1: select and load "iABW butterlies multi"
Step 2: select in the "Scene" tab the object
Step 3: go to aniMate2 timeline and make a new track for the selected scene object
Step 4: select "iABW butterflies or wisp2 multi" aniBlock and drag and drop to the aniMate2 track
Step 5: press the play button in the aniMate2 tab
    but no animation!
We use for this the 3Delight renderer in the viewport and the option "Texture Shaded"

If we click on the aniBlock, there is also no preview animation in the viewport!

    Best regards from Germany
    Peter

    Peter,

I'm not sure if other people had this problem or not. Maybe others can offer input as well.

But the first thing I would do is try to narrow down the root cause. For example, does animate 2 work for other aniBlocks from other products? What about non-figure objects, like my Oceans or dust products?

Also, try checking your My Daz 3D Library/Data/The Philosopher folder. In the iREAL Animated Butterflies and Wisps folder, there should be a "morphs" subfolder with 860 files inside each folder. Check to make sure these morph files are present.

  • hi not sure about the  "Animated Butterflies" ... i got the iREAL Animated Add-on for ULTIMATE Grass & Meadow & ULTIMATE Grass & Meadow Worldbuilder.. but i can't get aniBlocks to show up...

So is there somthing Special to do to get it to work with other Daz producs?

    thanks Ken

  • @SapperBobish Check out the tutorial videos I include with my iREAL animated products. Some of the videos go into more detail than others. Also be sure you have the full version of Animate 2, not the LITE version.

  • @SapperBobish Here is a quick detail on how to load the aniblocks.

    1. Load the object into your scene

    2. Click on the twirl-down in the scene tree, and highlight the object (under the container).

    3. Go to Animate2 tab and click "+" to load the object into Animate2

    4. Go to the folder where the animblocks are located and drag them onto the Animate2 timeline.

Let me know if this helps,

    -P
