Stonemason: permission requested - Superfly mod for Level 19
I've made Superfly material setups for some of your scifi models.
Level 19 has those P4-style texture maps which lose detail and look blurry if you're up close. To give it fine detail yet retain your stenciled markings, I made discriminator maps to control the replacement of the original P4-esque texture with my own non-repeating tiled material. This pic shows a texture map (left) with a discriminator (right).
Where the discriminator is light, my non-repeating tiling shows; where the map is dark -stenciling, stripes- the original map shows. Notice that the octagonal striped areas are black except where the paint is worn away; the worn areas will show non-repeat tiling.
I also gave metal areas Superfly metallicity, and made the luminous surfaces cast light.
I would like to release the Superfly material setup as a freebie, but the discriminator maps may be considered derivative, so I won't release this Superfly MAT of Level 19 (and cargo bay doors and elevator) unless you give permission.
Thank you for consideration.

Level 19 - http://www.daz3d.com/level-19 - is a Daz Original. While Stonemason made it, it is owned by Daz3D and therefore you need to make your request to them. Best bet is to open a ticket wiht the request
Awesome!!!
Heya, Mattymanx! Thank you for the response. Took me a while to find the thread, sorry.
I made a new material set which doesn't use derivative maps; the nodework would frighten the Borg, but it removes the redistribution issue. I have some server blades running test renders now. If the results are decent, I'll release this version, and maybe a few add-on pieces which allow for viewing through the door glass or the bay's opened doors.
Thank you, Sigurd!
Look forward to seeing more pics. Gives me some ideas of my own.
It will take some time for the Level 19 tests to render. But here are some Superfly adaptations of other Stonemason sci-fi stuff:

Urban Future 2
Test renders of the release-able Superfly material setup for Level 19:
This shot shows both of the doorsets. The doors on the left have a solid wall slab behind them, so I made a billboard to slip in just behind the doors; the billboard uses LightPath ambient boost and actually casts light into the Level 19 main room!
The doors on the right can be opened/hidden, and I made a T-shaped corridor to give the camera something to see through the door glass (or if you have the doors opened).
The new corridor add-on:

I'll get this packed up and posted on ShareCG as time permits.
Something like this for Daz users?
Yes it is, THANK YOU sarah_dalmation_456056469c
