I like this skin. I would like to see more skins that are like this , I like her lack of makeup and somewhat natural beauty. As models go, she has a more prominent nose which I like and is different than the standard button-nose.

Her full mouth is fairly typical for 3d women, and I like to see something different, but I understand this look is popular.

There's more like this on Rendro. Check this out:

I've seen more but I'm too tired right now to look for them.

The skin on that model is nice. I think freckles really add something. =-)

However, this model- to me, looks fairly typical for rendo. I tend to avoid models that have rounded facd, button nose, baby-faced look. I like my female characters to look older.

You know, it is very hard to find good morphs of 30 to 40 years with V4. There young Vickies and old Vickies but very few in between.
The artist that I know that created some mature Vickies is StudioArtVartian over at Rendo.

She could be any age from 20's to 40's. I'd say young though. She doesn't look that old to me, really. Yeah, she has a few wrinkles/eyebags, but there are youngsters with those and she could be a hard-worker, or a college student who has been hitting the books, or just someone who has that look.

I like the character... But I don't go to that site.

    Out of sheer curiosity, why?

Product is great and prices are very reasonable.

I find the ads for content not to my taste. Looks a bit porny to me...

He is selling at Renderosity too:

Kerya is right but things are cheaper at his site.

There is no porn there but the models are nude which is kinda the way I like seeing the model so as to judge the quality of the texture, but I do wish there were some clothed pics.

It's not the nudity, its the seeing the model in action in a pose wearing clothes fitting a certain role, ya know?

For me, I will rarely, if ever, buy any product (no matter how good) if the promos are 98% nudity and only 2% non-nudity. If I can't see plenty of promos with him or her with CLOTHES on, I won't even buy the product. For me, too much nudity in promos pretty much kills the product in my eyes (that, and high heels) because 2 or 3 promos of any given product without nudity is just not enough for me to want to buy it if I can't even see said product enough with clothes on.

This is a great texture map, that fits that age range, and it has a character face to go with at RDNA

No disrespect to anyone's family members or friends was meant. Posing nude for artistic paintings, photos or sketches is not the same as selling photos of yourself on the internet. You can literally see what is being done with your image in that instance, and you know what poses you struck and what kind of photo it will be. You have some dignity and control.

If you sell photos of yourself for texture sourcing, however, you would also have to not care that the pictures of you will be used for skins that will be used in porn. Not art. Not romantic erotica. Someone will be making a render using your skin of a woman being badly hurt in a way intended to be sexually titillating for someone. This is a virtual certainty if it's sold online for rendering purposes.

I personally would have to be extremely desperate.

We understand these facts -- but I have found the people outside of this world (the vast majority) have little to no idea of how all of this works (and especially the seedy underbelly of it). So I would be more inclined to assume ignorance of the full facts as to how their images may be used before assuming desperation/apathy... I would venture to say that many of the models would not do it if they have a clear idea of what could happen.

Its everyones choice to decide for themselves and do what they feel is ok for them. I was only explaining- when someone specifically asked- why I didn't go to this site.

Wait... I'm not desperate and I'd let someone take pictures of me to use as a texture set... and I know what people would do with it... which is NOT buy it and thats not the same as what someone would probably end up doing with her textures... If someone was stupid enough to offer me money (real money, not that colorful stuff that comes with board games... I'm done excepting that), then I would gladly take it... you can use real money to by food and booze and illegal fireworks... and all sorts of other important stuff.
So yeah... keep that in mind if you need a set of texture images for a semi-sort-of in-shape guy with lots of scars and very few noticeable external parasites (mostly a mix of smallish vampire slugs and cave leeches) in his mid 40s...

No worries, I don't go for similar reasons. :)

I would guess mid to late 30's with a lack of sleep and/or a hard lifestyle, such as you would expect from a woman who is model-pretty but desperate enough for money to sell photos of herself for texture sourcing.

Who says she has to be desperate to sell photos of herself for texturing or any other purpose? Hell, Reby did a whole DVD of photo resources for DAZ & scans and whatnot and all I heard for weeks was how lucky WE were that she LET us use them with less restrictions than other models.

Your assertion(s) may or may not be true about this particular woman, that is not really the sticking point for me. I just don't see a need to make such negative assumptions about a person just to assess how old they look.

That said, I do agree with those who say she is probably somewhere in the range of 20-40, depending upon lifestyle, makeup, stress in her life atm, genetics, eating habits, and so forth.

    =======
Edited to say: I am glad you added a later comment that you would have to be desperate to do such photos, because I can't argue with how you feel about doing it.

Godin does some nice stuff. Wish some of the characters at Rendo were for Genesis and had renders in DS4x.

There might be willful ignorance on their part concerning potential use. A lot of the more despicable parts of the internet are probably things people (myself included) absolutely do not want to acknowledge, let alone actively think about. There's one freebie V4 character I've downloaded but been hesitant to actually install due to the fictional character it's based on. It's probably not worth getting into that rant due to the mild fanbase they had on the old forums.

The other thing to think about was original intent. From an entirely different conversation, it was commented how disappointing it is to have so few options for textures for black males with it being noted that most come from the same few sources. Opted to search around and I think I know the source. If correct, the source is a site meant for artists as a whole and just happens to allow 3D textures to be made as part of the license/subscription. So the whole thought process is probably different even though it is available on the internet. Adding on to that, the site is actually European so the opinion on nudity as a whole is different than here in America.

I'm a little late to the party but for what it's worth, I think she looks late 20's to early 30's, even with the wrinkles because the "muscle tone" of the morph still looks very taut and young... imho.... nice looking character, too! :)

I've had this character for a while and just love her real look. She appears to have strength of character rather than just another pretty face. I use her a lot.

Aging is different for everyone. She's either an experienced mid-twenty-something or a great-looking forty-something.

While that is your option, it makes no sense to me as you are not buying the clothes, you are buying the skin texture and the morph, so it makes sense that the promos should show as much of that as possible. I usually don't purchase a product that does not have nude promos since that means i am not seeing all of the product. Good thing we have choices.

How does that not make sense to you? I'm not saying every vendor needs to get rid of their nude promos. What I am saying is that I would appreciate more promos where I can view the product in question with clothes on instead of just 2 or 3 with only a close up of the face and nothing else. There's an old saying, "Too much of a good thing, is a bad thing." And I'm sorry, but doing 2 or 3 promos consisting only of the face while the rest is only nudity doesn't make sense to me. I want some promos with that character wearing clothes. Not everyone likes to look at nudity.

Anyways, it's pretty much a moot point because a lot of vendors don't do what Adam does (thank goodness) and they do plenty of promos both of nudity and their character with clothes.
