So... could people who use encrypted content use these items during this morning scheduled maintenance?
Yes, however should they make some sort of change to their own workstation that requires that connect needs to re-fetch the decryption key, then until they could do so, they would be locked out of the encrypted content.

I don't think the three freebies were PC+, they just may have come out on the same day as the PC+ releases. The PC+ logo isn't on their store pages.
Might have been the monthly free-to-everyone-if-you-buy-something-else item; they're released at the same time, they show on the PC+ freebies page (because members don't have to buy-something-else), but they aren't actually PC+ items.
Actually it is the weekly ones that that are free to every one if you buy something else and aren't PC+ items. I believe Cozy Bed was one of those.
The monthly freebie is a PC+ item and is only free to PC+ members
I remember there being some freebies that were DRM, they were in addition to anything else iirc.Can't be certain, and I have no idea what as they were DRM so were irrelevant.
There was one occasion where they accidentally encoded the weekly freebie. I don't remember which one it was but it didn't stay that way for long.
There are no PC+ encrypted items other than that.

It was the security booth. I don't remember the name, though. And I believe the canoes were a freebie, or maybe some magic stuff? I can't remember, my brain's in a blender. It's Jello.
The As You Wish props, the canoes and the cozy bed were all freebies, and they came out a week apart. But I don't think that they were the weekly freebie that is free to the PC+ and free to everyone else with a purchase. To the best of my recollection they were a specific promotion for DAZ Connect. Which was the big new thing that DAZ was pushing.

Yeah. that was a PR debacle that someone should have thought through better..... I mean, I'm glad they didn't since I'm against DRM and it obviosuyl worked in our favor. But still, someone should have been paying more attention. I picked up some of the early DRM'd products, but it was around the time that the canoes came out that stopped buying all DRM'd products here. I remember being really bummed out about the canoes. It took a lot of discipline not to pick it up, though by then we were getting used to Friday DRM'd freebies, so not being a such a huge shock, the anger kicked in and helped on that front. Wasn't the gate also tied into some confusion abotu the PC+ freebies? I thought either it was or something around that timeframe was? Maybe they released in on a Wed instead of Fri? Not sure what it says to be nostalgic about the DRM disucsions, etc. from a year ago.....
I was expecting Daz to have had more success than they have. Then again, we don't really know how things have gone; here's hoping DRM continues to suck. Again I am not expecting it.
I couldn't. But that was because I had to reconfigure some network settings on my computer and then Daz decided that too much changed so it had to re-authenticate itself. This is the main reason why I avoid Daz Connect with a passion, I only got a few freebies (Cozy Bed) and that's all.

An update.. So today I checked for Daz updates. The DIM itself got an update, and when I re-started it I was very surprised to find the DIM version of the Cozy Bed (previously Daz Connect only) ready for installation. Which I obviously installed, so now there can be no repeat of my issues above because Cozy Bed was basically the only Daz Connect product I used.
So yeah, I'm very happy & pleased with this.
Used DIM to download purchases I made today and found a Chantelle Outfit among my purchases. Seems I for some reason got that while it was connect only, but now it's released.

I ended up grabbing 2 or three last fall and november frantically snagging great deals. It's easy to forget when you are trying to beat the clock on really good deals. Of course, if you can wait 6 months, that will be DIMable! ;)

Im glad that Ati's script makes it more obvious that they are encrypted; I'd agree though, why is an expression set encrypted? Ridiculously easy for those inclined to share.
con sidering the price you will have paid for it, why not hang on to it till August, when it loses it's encrypted status, it is not that long, really.

i dont understand encrypting expressions. theres no geometry to protect, no textures. it's no good to anybody without the g3 facerig
