Maps - Normal & Bump - Same or inverse

I'm making some quick and drity Normal maps from bumb maps, using the online map maker http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/
Should the Bump map go directly in? Should it be inversed? Contrast reworked?

Depends on the bump map. Does it have white for high areas and black for low? Then don't invert. Does it make use of the whole gamut from black to white? If not it is going to be a bit flat, but there's prbably not much to be done.
