Another well done piece! I love the subtle color!

Sam the Sham - Little Red Riding hood!....AHOOOOOOOO!
:-)
Just thought I would post a few renders of my new model. It's been a while since I did any guitars, so here is a classic Gibson Birdland. This guitar was made famous by 1970s rocker Ted Nugent. Remember this big bad boy on "Wango Tango" and "Cat Scratch Fever"?
Now...what to do with it?...any suggestions?
:-)
That's really nice, Music! I saw him a few years ago in concert, when I had money. He didn't use that as I remember, but he did use a hollow body...I think it was something in the ES line, the double cutaway models. Saw Kenny Wayne Shepard and ZZ Top that same night. What a night!

The gallery is updated :)

I really like this one! :) Just her, and her "wolf-wolf".

Now that is a thought B! I just may do that. Good call.
One thing about this one...all Gibson Les Pauls and hollow body electrics have arch tops and backs. There are no Les Pauls out there that have an arch top, they are all flat...even mine. So, this has an actual arch top and back on it...probably the only one out that does!!!

Hal Ketchum - Small Town Saturday Night
"We're gonna howl at the moon, shoot out the light.
It's a small town Saturday night."
WINNER!
As always, bragging rights only.
YeeeeHaaah
Now calm down Cho!....**throws a pie then runs!**
Oh bother, didn't duck in time. No fair
Give it to me.
Oh, my God, that sounded so rude!
Just make it "Free for all."
Kendall
This statement is confusing me. First you say all have arch tops, then you say there are none with arch tops, they're all flat. :-S
In either case, the 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop had an arch. I remember because my friend in high school had one, and I played it a couple of times, too. I found a photo of them...well, there were actually a lot of photos online. You can see the contours in the light and shadow.

A Musically-Inclined Poltergeist
This may end up being a first draft, but I wanted to be sure to post something before the month got away from me. (Again.)
Most of the freebies are "free registration required," so I'll just mark the exceptions with [NoReg].
Paid item: UberSurface shader, in generous quantities.
Not counted this month: UberEnvironment2 light, supplemented by one spotlight.
Uncountable Freebies Still Worth Mentioning: Character dialspinning made possible by
DieTrying's 258 Morphs, sazzyazzca's Ethnic Head Morphs 1, and 3Dream's Diva Morph [NoReg] (about the tenth entry on that page.)
Postwork: Resized down from an oversized render. Otherwise, it's as it came out of DS3A & 3Delight.
The figure is Antonia Polygon Standard Edition.
Her gown is eblank's Hanoi, from the OptiTex site. [NoReg]
And her hair is AprilYSH's Jamie Hair. [NoReg]
Ghostly effects for the above are provided by Marco's Ghost Shader Presets for UberSurface.
[Side Note: This effect is incompatible with transparency maps--- but fortunately, AprilYSH sculpted her Jamie hair so beautifully that it works without them!]
The violin & bow came from the Fantasy3D.com site. [NoReg]
Fusebulb's portfolio on ShareCG supplied the chair in obj format and the sky texture for the backdrop.
[Another Side Note: In the flurry of comments on David Heller's announcement last month, one commenter suggested ditching all content over 5 years old, as "not usable or not applicable." What the huh?]
Speaking of backdrops, that's my Soft-cornered Render Room again, flipped upside down to turn the dome into a bowl-shaped ground surface (an old diorama trick), which was in turn textured with RealGround0012BoH from the prolific HoboBo.
Finally, this month's Rendo newsletter freebie makes yet another appearance, as whimsical garden architecture.
cheers
Alan
Cool! Very simple, yet striking!

A little off-topic; but if you are looking for some good models for (almost) free; mrsparky is having a sale on all his stuff (spread over 3 stores) and if you post your name in his thread (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/8707/) you may get a chance to win all his products.
It's taken a while, but I have an entry for this month. Everything (including other folks' freebie shaders) is redone in my Mephistopolis Shader. The image was composed and rendered in D|S 4.5 and I am offering the beta of my shader to anyone who can name the title and album of the song seen here.
Most sites want registration, so I tagged those that don't.

Interesting dot screen print-type shader! I must be blind, I couldn't see the elephants.

Way too dark for me. I can't see half of the items.
Please re-render.

This statement is confusing me. First you say all have arch tops, then you say there are none with arch tops, they're all flat. :-S

To clearify this for you Dana...I think you misunderstood. All Gibson Les Pauls have arch tops. (Except for the 1956 Les Paul specials). What I meant, go back and re-read it, is there are no Les Paul MODELS out there with arch tops. All the models I have seen were made with flat tops, even mine were. The arch part is a very difficult part. If there are some, I have not seen them.
:-)
I see here that you used three different head morphs (link two, three and four). Not sure how you do that, but since there are no rules this month, it will pass. Also, you forgot to mention that, in order to use the 258 head morph download, you are required to have the free "Injectpmd.dll" by DeltaX15. There is a link for it on the download page for the morphs.
ENTRY ACCEPTED

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I like this, but you really can't see much...very dark and unclear. Since no rules this month, I will accept it. I can barely make out the victrola, so that covers the required music item. We won't go into details...lol.
ENTRY ACCEPTED

My guess is either "Strange Days" by "The Doors" or "Sufficiently Breathless" by "Captain Beyond".
:-)
Way too dark for me. I can't see half of the items.
Please re-render.

Different lights, "Twilight" from the same source. No new entry (replace take 1 with this)
Ta muchly! Good note on the InjectPMD prereq--- I guess I take it for granted, as it's essential to accessing many of the freebie morphs out there...
Regarding the blended morphs:
In this case, the Diva_3Dream slider is at 50%, the sazzy_ethnic_blk_01_ES slider is at 37.5%, and a whole bunch of the 258 sliders are at various values. A few of those were body morphs; in the "Face shape" subsection, chin back -25%, face short 12.5%, face thin 41.7%, & jaws to front 25%; in the "Nose" subsection, flat 25%, move up 12.5%, ridge round 37.5%, & small 37.5%. Run-of-the-mill dial-spinning character creation stuff.
[EDIT] As informative as all those percentages may be, it finally dawned on me (while putting some bread in to rise) that the suspended rule that would apply would be clear visibility of the individual freebies. Correct? So I'll edit the original post to move them into "worth mentioning, but uncountable."
Alan
