Hi all,

I set the intensity of default distant light from 100 to 70.
Rendering of current frame is ok.
Rendering of movie used old setting (100).

What should I do? This happens even I exit the prg and restart again.
I am using ver 8.1.1 build 12

Thanks in advance

    Hi Sam :)

I've just tried this , but if I set the distant light to 70, then render,.. the light strength remains at 70 (or whatever value it's set at),. when I go back to the Assembly room, the light is still at 70 (the same value). so, for me, the light renders in a movie (or still image) with the correct settings.

Where are you seeing that it's changing to 100 ?
EG: in the render settings, or,.. in the scene,.. Assembly room.

Any screen-captures / pics are always helpful :)

    Hi 3Dage,

I try to start from scratch to see if I can repeat this problem again.

It's possible you inadvertently set a keyframe for the light intensity. If you moved along the timeline and changed the light it would create the keyframe automatically. Look to see if there's an unwanted keyframe for the light.

    Thanks a lot.

My mistake :P I changed the light intensity at frame 30. When I rendered current frame, it is ok.
However, when I rendered movie starting from frame 1, light intensity is still 100 on frame 1!

That is a very easy mistake to do. One on which I'm sure almost everyone here has done at least once- if not more. ;-)
