I would hope that, also much more compatible Poser
Figures should come out etc. The current figures etc are all created just for DAZ Studio!
Jump to DAZ Studio is not an option under consideration for me.

Not going to happen, DAZ has moved on and it is up to SmithMicro to add DAZ support to Poser.
DAZ could update their DSON Importer plugin for Poser to support Genesis 3, which is really the only thing that isn't supported currently. Not to mention that someone HAS made it possible to use Genesis 3 in Poser 11.
The current way to use G3 in Poser is to convert it to TriAx rigging so that it works like G2 and so is compatible with the DSON importer. That method has been known for quite some time, the only thing that the Rendo utility added is a script to fix expressions after that as they don't work properly after the conversion.
In order for the genesis 3 figures to work in Poser with their own rigging Poser needs to support dual quaternion rigging, which is not the case currently. I suppose DAZ could add a "convert dual quaternion to triax on the fly" component to the DSON importer but that would probably make it even slower that it already is....
Daz has tried several times to keep the capatibily its SM that doesnt want to work with them. The responsibility for Poser compatibiliy is on POSER. They chose to drop it.
The reality is that Poser and the newer generations Genesis characters will never work "out of the box." That's just a reality of business or differing technologies. I don't think it's right to blame either company. I started out with Poser in 1999. Over the years I've gravitated more towards DAZ Studio. I got nostalgic for Poser and bought Poser 10. I was crestfallen to see I couldn't load Genesis characters directly into Poser 10. DSON never appeared to be a viable solution to me.
I just don't see the point in fretting over it. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and don't have the energy to waste on things that won't change.
