@algovincian Ah, thanks Greg! It's hard sometimes because expressions that work in regular renders don't always come through when you start using filters for an NPR version. I'm learning to exaggerate the expressions a little more when I know my renders are going to be turned into a comic type render. I agree about the facial expressions in comics. Getting the facial expressions right is a big step for me. I'm thinking about going to the local comic book store and picking up a few more comics for reference. I have a few favorites I've been reading lately. Time to see if new issues have come out. :)

I could never resist a good werewolf. I haven't rendered anything in months because my life has been so crazy busy. However, I saw the Landon 8 bundle and couldn't resist getting it. This is my first render this year and my first render with Lyncan HD for Landon 8. I'm woefully out of practice rendering and doing postwork, and I probably didn't do him justice but this is an amazing addition to Josh-Crokett's line of characters.

@algovincian Awe, thanks Greg. I appreciate the kind words. I really do need to find a balance so I can render more often while I continue to grow my writing career. I hadn't realized how much I had missed puttering around in Daz until I was deep into it and having a blast. I really did have fun with this guy. :)
This has to be the best werewolf render I have ever seen KM, for someone who is out of practice in rendering and postwork!!!

Awe, thanks guys! That means a lot to me. It feels good to be playing inside DS again. This was a rough week for me and I definitely needed to let off some steam. This werewolf was a way for me to get out of my own head for a little while, recharge my creative batteries as it were. :) It makes me happy so many people liked how he turned out.
Just popping in for a second. I'm still busy with the writing, but I did manage to get back into Daz Studio again. Just a little something to fuss over while my writer brain worked on things in the background.

@Saphirewild The writing is going really well. I had a release last month that managed to get a best seller tage for a short bit in the Short Reads LGBT category which was nice. It has definitely been nice having the extra income. I'm working on a new project this month for Camp Nanowrimo along with a project I've been writing for the last few months. I do miss being here in the forums so much. I did manage to make up for lost time with the MM sale. I didn't think I was going to buy anything but I found a few things I simply had to have. Now I just have to render them all. :)

Where do you publish. My friend and myself have our first novel in the works, and neither of us know the first thing about how to get it published.
I publish direct with Amazon on their KDP platform. I use their KindleUnlimited program which means ebooks are exclusive with them. If you are going to publish direct and not interested in using KindleUnlimited for more exposure, I'd publish wide using an aggragate like Draft2Digital. If you aren't sure of your niche or where the audience is, I'd consider using Amazon and their KindleUnlimited program at least once. Amazon has a large audience and they know how to sell books. Going with their KU program means being exclusive for ebooks only for a 90 day period. You can renew or unsub from the program once those 90 days are up.
Some niches do really well wide and some do better in KU. You have to really know your niche and where your readers are to determine that. Message me in private if you wish to talk more. I'd be happy to talk to you about indie publishing.
Coming out of my writing cave for a short time. Camp Nanowrimo is almost over so I should be able to spend more time in the forums soon. I did have a chance to play in Daz for a little bit. I've been experimenting with few processing techniques for a possible childrens book. I don't know if I'll actually make a picture book, but it's fun playing with new techniques. I broke out some old stuff for this one. I used The Kids 4, Morphlet, morphs for the Kids 4 which are no longer available. Such a shame because they are a very cool set of morphs. They are by Capsces Digital Ink. The skin I used was from Kaelyn for Kids 4 which is still available in the store. It's a great skin that has a very soft look to it. It was perfect for the look I was trying to achieve.
I was going for a vintage feel with only the slightest amount of color. I processed the whole image with some vintage filters via the NIK Collection (free version from Google) and then put the original image which was just the girl on a transparent background back onto the final image. I kept the image in normal mode and dialed the opacity way down until I had just the amount of color I wanted.
I like how it turned out.

@algovincian Thanks, Greg. I'm still fine tuning the techniques I used, but I do like the direction I'm going with it. There's just something about the old vintage pictures and picture books I really love.

With everyone mixing the new babies with different creatures, I couldn't resist mixing one of them with Mervin the alien. Mervin was perfect for a character of mine, but I need him a little more on the chunky side. I like how he turned out. I might have to play with him a little for a more proper render. This was just a quick little thing to see how he would look.

Thanks, Sonja. I still have to fiddle with him a little. He isn't quite where I want him to be but close. I'm working on a Space Opera short and he's the side kick. At least now, I have a better picture in my head of what he looks like.
