edited December 1969 in Bryce Discussion

Can somebody indicate to me if a Win 64 version exists, either for Bryce 7 or 7 pro? I have been away for some time and got a new PC..
Thanks

No Bryce 7 Pro is unfortunately still 32 bit at the moment.

You can make Bryce large address aware using the free LAA tool. Then Bryce can at least use up to about 3.5 GB and doesn't stop at 2 GB. The 2 GB limit is a huge hindrance and if we cannot have a 64-bit version at the moment, it would nice if Bryce could spill over to the hard disk. But Bryce is completely memory fixed.

Yes, dead-right. I recommend to download the Process Monitor as well, free too. It works like the Windows task manager but you can select the application (Bryce for example), and processor and memory usage is displayed for Bryce only. This is very helpful because if memory usage approaches 3.2 GB, the limit of Bryce is very soon reached.

Thanks Horo for this tip. I was pulling my hair out trying to bring larger models into Bryce from DAZ. No matter what I tried I got the dreaded out of data error until I tried this LAA trick.

Searching for LAA Bryce and Rendering on youtube, for example, http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=LAA+bryce+rendering

And there is a little video I made to help.

Third one down at the moment... here's the direct link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DyWtdR6cys
