Question about RAM usage by Daz 4.23 for large scenes

I recently updated my PC to add a newer CPU and increase my system RAM from 64 GB of DDR4 3000 memory to 96 GB of DDR5 6400 memory. I also transferred my Daz library from an older 7200 RPM HDD to a new Gen 4 M.2 NVMe drive, which has improved scene loading times for larger scenes in Daz 4.23 from 10+ minutes to around 4 minutes (yay!). My question is as regards to the following: I have several scenes I have been working with that have a large room environment, HDRI/lighting setups (mainly ghost lights) and cameras along with 17 G8 figures in them. On my old PC build these scenes would take up 45-50 GB or RAM and after working with them for several hours and running renders the RAM would slowly increase until the viewport response would become very sluggish, forcing me to save the scene and close Daz to clear out the memory before opening Daz again and waiting 10+ minutes for the scene to reload. With my new build the scene loads much faster as I noted above, but I now see that the scene is taking up 65-70 GB of RAM right after opening (which as of now is still OK performance wise as I still have 20-25 GB of RAM room to work with). In both cases above I was working with Daz version 4.23 (nothing has changed there)--why are the scenes taking up more system RAM than before? Is Daz loading additional assets to take advantage of the increased system RAM, or is this some type of anomaly or bug with Daz? I have seen this occur with 2 separate scene files that I was working with before and after the upgrade. Any insight or explanation would be appreciated.

Check, if possible compare, the settings in Edit>Preferences>Interface tab
Not sure what my settings were on the Interface previously--are there any settings in particular there that could impact RAM usage by Daz?
Texture Resources controls the size/clarity of the images used for the Viewport, Quality will use more memory I think. I don't know if Display Optimisation can have an impact on memory use.
I didn't see much change from adjusting the interface settings, but I loaded the scene and ran a quick render and after it completed I noticed that the RAM usage had dropped from 70 GB to 45 GB (about where it was previously before my system upgrade)--maybe Daz is just loading in a bunch of extra data into memory since this is the first time running Daz with the new hardware? Anyway I will keep an eye on things and if this is simply a case of letting Daz load in whatever it thinks it needs and then it discards the extra data after running a render I can certainly live with that since 96 GB of RAM gives me plenty of freeboard to work around it.
