How do I create my own Scene Templates and Scene Favorites for the Daz Studio new scene dialog? See attached image.

https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/8392406/#Comment_8392406 essentailly, add the files you wish to have there to the /Default/Favorites or /Default/Templates categories (right-click>Categorise)

Maybe i have not phrased my question properly.

    1. In preferences I can only add one scene to favorites.

    2. Any scenes files I add to the folder where the template scene files are stored do not show up in the dialog.

    3. On the Recent tab of the new scene dialog and can not right click and add to favorites.

Right-click on a file in a content pane (actualy, for favorites there is a direct Add to favorites category command under the categroise command).

Ok Richard, now your just messing with my head. I am more confused. smiley

To me, your answer seems related to adding content in the Content Library tab to Favorites in the Categories section of the Content Library. See attached images. I did add a scene to the favorites (categories) and it did not show up in favorites.

My original questions are about the New Scene dialog's Templates tab and Favorites tab. I did look at the link you suggested but it did not help reduce my confusion. So I consider my original question still unresolved.

HOWEVER your replies did make me look at my requirement in a different way! I added to the DAZ Studio Formats section of the Content Directory Manager my main folder, which contains all the sub-folders, for my projects (aka scenes duf files) and presto-magiko I can now do want I wanted to do with the New Scene dialog.  So i now consider this issue semi-solved.

Categorising populates the tabs in the New Sceen dialogue for me, though it does take a few moments for the items to appear (but they do so, as far as I could tell, at the same time as the pre-defined entries for Templates).

Thank you Richard for trying to help. Unfortunately it does not work for me, but atleast your recommendations helped me find a work around. smiley
