M40 Tesla 24gb Nvidia GPU vs Intel a770 gpu for gpu rendering
I currently use a m40 24gb for gpu rendering in blender 4.3 but I'm wondering if it is worth the $220 to upgrade to upgrade to a arc a770 intel gpu. I know I lose 16gb of vram but it supports raytracing which is mostly why I'm interested in the upgrade and if out of core is available on top of that on a a770 that's a big plus. But I need to know is it REALLY worth the investment? I'm also considering support for drivers and compatibility in the future as as far as Daz goes iray won't be supported on my m40s very much longer and blender tends to be more flexible about older cards and also doesn't force you to only use Nvidia cards. Hence why I'm thinking of doing most of my Daz scene final renderings in blender and ditching Ultrascenery in favor of unreal for landscape and environment scenes.

In general nvidia drivers are better than others, thus nvidia cards are better supported within blender. Out of core rendering is available for cuda, optix, hip and metal devices. However, it is always better to have more vram for the gpu.
