Dystopian HD Jacket won't simulate [solved?]

The jacket from Dystopian HD has two morphs labeled "HoodDownDforce", the product page says that it should simulate, but it just doesn't. Instead, I get a message that says "Error preparing objects to simulate or collide". I tried deleting the jacket and adding it anew, I've checked all the settings in Parameters, Simulation Settings and dForce Companion, and, since I'm using it on a G8.1F, even loaded a G8.1M into the scene to see if it worked on a male figure. It doesn't. Is this a known issue? If there's a workaround, what is it?

Maybe that morph is a saved version of a dForce simulation done by the PA, and that you dial the morph to get the result of the PA's simulation? The product doesn't have "dForce" in the product name.
Not in the product name, but as I said, in the product copy: "The jacket and sweater include dForce presets for uncovering the face." There are properties presets with "Dforce" in the thumbnail, but neither applying the presets or manually dialing in the morphs with the same name achieves the look in the thumbnail.
I should also add that the jacket loads with a dForce dynamic surface modifier, and it shows up in dForce Companion, which wouldn't be the case if it weren't intended for dForce.
Sorry I was not any help. I don't own it. Hopefully someone else will have a clue. Or maybe it is a broken item to return.
Don't worry about it, it's not your responsibility to solve every problem (no matter how much it might seem like you can).
31 Surfaces on the Jacket... but if you Ctrl + A to multi-select them, you'll find default Dynamic Strength are all set as 0...
Good catch, I can't believe I didn't think to check that.
edit: that's not actually correct, though. Hood, HoodBrd and HoodThick are set to 1 for me, and so should be simulating.
re-edit: WOW. So I turned the dynamics strength DOWN to .65 and tried simulating, and it actually simulated instead of throwing up the error. I then turned it BACK up to 1, and it simulated exactly like one would expect.
Hmm, but as long as there's even a single surface with Dynamics Strength value > 0, it should simulate without throwing the error message.
Hey, I'm totally with you that it SHOULD have been simulating all along, but here we are.
Ahhhhh.... unexpected glitch, maybe.
Did you try simulating? Is it just my computer that has a beef with this jacket?
Yep, pls check this : https://mega.nz/file/af4yADzY#pIXzGKN2tjUzoSGg3rbGsuQ_T433pzv_wvUwoeHyU8Q
If the issue persists, try relaunching DS, maybe ?
Oh, ok, so it still fails to simulate when you first load it. Applying the preset didn't do the trick for me, but that wasn't the only thing I was doing. Resetting the dynamics strength works, but if applying the preset saves a step or two, that would be nice.
Yes, on the 1st load, it fails to simulation. I'm not sure if the vendor intentionally gave the settings like that. But anyway, I made correction in Wearable and Properties Presets of Jacket and Sweater by setting 0 back to 1.0.
Edit: I retrieved the dForce weight node and found only the hood has weight, which means setting dynamics strengh on other surface are just meaningless ~
