How can I unlock a scene's camera aspect ratios? (Solved)
Nevermind. I found the solution to the problem I describe below the line.
The solution is to set the camera Properties > Dimensions > Use Local Dimensions to "Off"

I downloaded a Daz scene file. When I open it, all cemeras are locked at 4X3 aspect ratio, and any new camera I add to the scene inherits the locked 4X3 aspect ratio.
I tried the usual thing in the render settings > general wherein I select "Active Viewport", but the cameras do not care one bit what I do there.
Rather than have me explain all the stuff I tried to do to fix this, I recommend we cut to the chase and you simply download and install the scene yourself and see what I'm talking about.
The scene file will be at Scenes
That's it, just Scenes, no futher subdirectories.
Ignore all the bad calls to missing material image maps. I assume that's irrelevant to this camera problem.
One thing I wonder about is maybe the scene file has special render settings built into it that my 4.11 DS cannot override. The scene file has those "Tonemapper Options" and "Environment Options" nodes in it that got introduced later, in 4.12 I think. Maybe the aspect ratio settings are in those nodes, and 4.11 cannot adjust those nodes. Just a guess.
