Saving Lights

When you save an iray light as a PRESET, what is actually being saved? Is it all the peramiters you've set for the light? Or just some of them?
If you have a number of lights in your scene, all with different peramiters set, how do you save the lighting set-up as a PRESET? As a light? As a Scene Preset? As something else?
Thanks!

You can save actual lights/cameras as a scene subset. Good grouping makes that easier.
What sort of lights? Yes, all the settings for the actual lights are saved - but not parenting to other items and not things like an Iray environment or emissive surfaces.
All kinds of lights. The position of the sun on a particular time of day at a particular geographic location; spotlights that take a lot of time to set up in the scene - are their positions and all their settings saved? Even when I save the whole scene, some of the settings change, like the size of the disk. The sun also reverts back to what I suppose is its default position. If I place a point light in each flame of a chandelier, you mean I can't parent the light to the flame?
Some content I've purchased, I haven't used because it takes a long time to set it all up and I'm not sure it won't all disappear when I save and close the scene.
Which is why I'm asking if I can save the different kinds of lights. I'm not sure of what to save the light as - a wearable, a prop, a scene subset?
Sun/Sky is render Settinmgs, not lights as such - that would be the environments I mentioned were not included. Spotlights would save, yes, but the Pointlights should not be parented to the lanterns.
Only 4 types of node-based Lights in a scene can be saved as Light Presets: Distance, Spot, Point and Linear Point. All of their Properties in Parameters pane are saved within a Light Preset.
In your case, there's ambient light set in Environment Settings, node-based Lights, Props formed by surface-based Emissive Light + Point Lights, etc., better separately save them as Render Settings Preset, Light Preset and Scene Subset.
