I had a problem a long time ago where I had bright reflections caused by the headlamp. I was able to fix this by changing the angle. Now I cannot find that setting. Anyone know where it is?

If you are using a real camera, rather than the Perspective View, then you can select the camera and adjust the headlamp's offsets from the camera parameters.
Using perspective view. Does that mean I need to switch to a real camera?
Oh yes, that worked better.
You should, I think, be able to make the same adjustment via script but there are no UI controls since you cannot select the Views in the Scene to access their properties.
You could also use a Post Load proxy to give you a node with the controls for the view using

To me, Headlamps are almost useless if rendering with Iray engine. You can always turn them off on cameras as well as in Render Settings.
Cameras will, by default, respect the Render Settings option - only if they have been set to override that will they need separate adjustment.
