Using Gift Cards in DAZ website

So, I am trying to find alternatives to using Credit/Debit cards or PayPal to make purchases here. I see that there is a place to redeem Gift Cards but I was not sure if that means using a prepaid Visa Gift Card, or if it is a Gift Card purchased within Daz itself. Does anyone know if a prepaid Visa Gift Card can be used. If so, how does making purchases work using a Gift Card? Thanks

    I've never used such here and stopped using credit cards back in 2013 but it should work the same as a bank debit card. I would think you could purchase a gift card and on check out enter the gift card credit card number expirey date and 3 digit code and buy one that way. Then it populates invitiing you to view order. Click that and copy past the code into redeem gift card  area that you posted about (no extra spaces) and then go to store credit and you will see your store credit (just for peace of mind) then shop and check out using the store credit. If I were you I would wait for a gift card promo offering. There should be one soon. But only the giftcard nothing else but what DAZ says you need to get the promo and your store credit will be more than the gift card you bought. Or just buy it full price if there is something you need now. Not sure if you have used store credits but I'm assuming you know how that works. Hope DAZ has a gift card sale for you soon. Good luck.

    I use prepaid cards here all the time, usually to purchase a gift card which I then redeem for store credit. It works just like any other credit card.

    I try to always have a line of store credit. It means every every purchase has effectively an extra sale on top.

    Well, after a short absence, I finally manged to find my way back to DAZ ( Life Happens). I appreciate the coments here, but I am still a bit foggy on the process. I did purchase a regular gift card and lo and behold there is an account number, expiration date and even a three digit security code on the back. The Non-Reloadable cards are even activated at the check out counter,  with no need to call a 1- 800 number.

    So now the issue that causes confusion is where exactly can I just purchse store credit on the DAZ website? The link given by Richard above is for purchasing a DAZ gift card,  and asks for a name and email and then a button to press to Add To Cart. So I assume that once in the cart I enter the gift card info in the Credit Card portion  for payment options. But, if I am already logged into my account why is it asking for Name and Email. Is there somewhere on the site where I just pay for store credit without the whole "DAZ Gift Card" routine?

    You get store credit by buying a gift card and redeeming it. There's no way to add a to your store credit directly.

    So, I guess the most direct way is to just use the Non Reloadable visa card I purchased,  is to just use it in the Credt Card portion of payment options, where I used to select paypal. Since the card I purchased has a set amount, I should be able to use the same card again, if there is any credit still on the card right?

    It's asking you for the name and email, because you could purchase a giftcard for someone else. But you can purchase it for yourself.

    So the steps would be:

    - Add the DAZ giftcard to the cart as request (with your name and email).

    - Proceed to checkout.

    - Use your physical gift card the same way you'd use your normal debit/credit card.

    The advantage of buying the DAZ giftcard with your regular giftcard is that it's all converted to the store credit, so you can see how much money you have left, while just making purchases with your giftcard would require you to keep track of all the purchases as you make them.

    I would normally buy $500 worth when they were 20% off but I haven't seen that offered in months.

    I appreciate the feedback. So if a DAZ gift card is purchase for ones self do they send a link or a code to your email needed  to use the DAZ gift card, or does it just get added to stor credit.

    Drogo, 20% off would be a great advantage, and the use tracking aspect would be nice too joanna.

    As I mentioned above I have alway just used paypal so I want to change my payment metod without linking directly to a bank account.

    You get a code emailed (it is also listed in the order details in your account)

    The downside is I find I use it much faster, so I stopped doing the GC thing, LOL
