Another crash - mi_plugin_factory
Anyone one how what this is all about? I want to do a 250 frame animation through the "Mysterious Office" and I have a wall from "1920s Office". Daz is crashing around every six frames as I try to render an image sequence. One frame I had to manually render it and stop it as it neared completion to save as when it comepletes sometimes it will crash. I had this same issue a couple of months ago trying to do an animation of a space ship but manged to get it rendered with a reduced quality.
This is latest error but usually Daz will ust crash and cause machine to restart.
DAZStudio.exe caused ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\libs\iray\libiray.dll" at 0033:0000000058AA7BF7, mi_plugin_factory()+29274071 byte(s).
Drivers for my 3070ti on Win 11 are good and Daz seems all up to date. Steps so far:
- Checked there is no OOT hair in the scence
- Check all the other materials by typing "Trans" in the surface editor
- Deleted the hiden volumetric cube
- Uninstalled the HEAT plugin
Any suggestion would be welcome. Thank you.

Which driver? Recent drivers hav caused issues very similar to yours, so - bearign in mind the security issue - rolling back to something closer to the minimum required version may help.
What's your Nvidia driver version ? Latest NSD ver. 566.36 works well with DS 4.22/4.23 for my 30/40 series cards, as well as for the above-mentioned Mysterious Office.
So some sucess - after baby sitting the machine and restarting after every crash for a few hours the system rendered for the longest time I've known - 9 hours straight without a crash which for me is unheard of since I've had my machine! Then the machine locked up this evening and I had to power it down manually.
I have the same drivers ver. 566.36 so don't get what is up when I have checked all the problem areas but I'll take what I' got today.
Just adding my 2c, but have you tried downgrading the Nvidia driver to version 566.14, released in November? I've had some problems over the last week using version 566.36, where DAZ would randomly, but frequently, lock up when loading content and having Iray on in the preview window. I did a clean install of the older Nvidia driver and no hiccups so far, neither on loading content into the scene nor while rendering.
