[SOLVED] Cheyenne Braids - wispy instead of full

I finally made the jump and bought the Cheyenne Braids after seeing nice pics like this one by Barbult on the forums. However, my results look like the attached pictures. All settings are default, changing "hair size" doesn't do anything. Am I overlooking something?

    What Tool are you using ? Try pressing Alt Shift + U (or T, R..)... before Iray preview or render.

    Screenshot 1 shows it when Geometry Editor tool activated... Screensho 2 shows the normal result with Translate tool...

    That's it! Thank you so much! Though I don't quite understand why the tool selection makes such a difference.

    Yea, some tools change the form of hair's geometry... so that's why you find the unexpected result.

    Certain tools change the visualization of a model so that precise selections are possible and to speed up the use of the tool.
