That does seem weird - do you have a GPU on the CPU, as well as a standalonme nVidia (or AMD) GPU? If so, make sure DS is using the dedicated GPU for its display - on-CPU GPUs, at least from maskers other than AMD, can be problematic.

No, it's the opposite.  I had to go into windows graphic settings and tell it to stop letting Daz use the graphics card because I've gotten the slider issue OP mentioned, and each time, it spikes usage of the card to 100% and a couple times of doing that triggers the crash.
