How to export linked / complex Posing Params (Sad, Happy, Angry) to Shape Keys in Blender?

Hi there,

I'm using the latest version of Daz Studio on an Apple Silicon machine.

I can export Genesis 9 models with morphs, such as JawOpen, into Blender. In Blender, when I change the value of this shape key from 0.0 to 1.0 (for Shape, Mouth, Clothing, etc.), I can see the changes on the model. However, for complex morphs such as Sad, Happy, Angry, etc., even though they are listed in the Shape Keys, changing their values does not affect the model.

How can I fix this?

    What did you use for exporting G9 to Blender ? Daz to Blender bridge or Diffeomorphic Daz Importer ?

    Hi! Thanks for your suggestion! I'm back with some promising updates:

    Initially, I was experimenting with:

    • The built-in Daz G9 export to .fbx and .blend (File > Export). Exporting to .blend yields better results for Blender. When I used .fbx, some shapes, like the face and legs, were missing.
    • The Daz to Blender Bridge. This seems to produce the same results as using File > Export, but it also helped me install the Blender plugin.

    Then I tried the Diffeomorphic Daz Importer, and it’s much faster. It allowed me to control both simple and complex poses, such as "Sad," "Angry," and "Happy," as I wished. :D

    This is promising! I plan to reverse-engineer the Diffeomorphic Daz Importer so I can control these complex poses in Unity as well. My ultimate goal is to quickly switch the emotions of the metahuman.
